Introduction
I’m Jenny Weaver Beach, a pediatric occupational therapist based in San Francisco. I work with children ages 0–8 using a play-based, function-oriented approach that supports development within everyday routines. My areas of expertise include early intervention, sensory integration, and working with children on the autism spectrum. I’m passionate about making therapy engaging while empowering parents with practical tools they can use at home. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment where children can build skills and confidence. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my newborn, playing soccer, walking my dog, or enjoying the beach.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I believe children learn best when they feel safe, engaged, and genuinely enjoy the experience, so I bring a playful and lighthearted energy into sessions. At the same time, I am patient and take care to follow each child’s pace, honoring their individual needs and readiness. I’m also highly attentive—not just to the child, but to the family as a whole—so I can tailor strategies that fit naturally into daily routines and support meaningful progress outside of sessions.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to support infants and young children who benefit from early intervention, sensory integration support, and skill-building through play-based, functional activities. I especially enjoy working closely with families to build routines and strategies that feel manageable and empowering in everyday life. My approach is collaborative and parent-focused, which works well for families looking to be actively involved in therapy. I’m not as well-positioned to serve older children or teens, or those with primary oral motor feeding concerns, as my practice is centered on early childhood development and whole-child functional skills.
