Hi, my name is Jaspreet Bains, and I’m a speech-language pathologist based in Yuba City, CA. I have the joy of working with children and adults of all ages, from little ones just learning their first words to older kids and adults refining their communication skills. My approach with littles is play-based and strengths-focused, however I aim to make therapy feels fun and motivating while targeting meaningful goals with all of my clients. I’m passionate about empowering families and helping each person find their voice. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends finding new adventures.

If I had to choose three words to describe myself, I would say fun, empathetic, and patient. I believe therapy should be enjoyable, so I bring creativity and play into each session. Families often tell me they appreciate my empathy—I listen closely and adapt to each child or adult’s unique needs. Patience is another quality I value, because communication growth takes time and every small step forward matters. These qualities together help me create a supportive, encouraging environment where clients feel safe to try, learn, and succeed.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to serve children who benefit from a play-based, strengths-focused approach. I especially enjoy working with early intervention, speech sound disorders, and AAC, where I can partner closely with families to support communication in daily life. I thrive when working with clients who are motivated by connection, fun, and practical strategies. While I support a wide range of needs, I may not be the best fit for highly specialized medical speech therapy cases, such as complex swallowing disorders, where a medical setting may be more appropriate.
