Introduction

Hola, I’m Jae, a bilingual pediatric speech-language pathologist serving families across San Diego County. I support children from birth through school age, with a special focus on infants and toddlers in Early Start. My expertise includes bilingual language development, speech sound disorders, late talkers, AAC, and autism. I’m also LSVT LOUD for KIDS, which helps children build stronger voice and speech. I honor your home language and culture, and I treat code-switching as a strength. My approach is warm, family-centered, and strengths-based, and I coach you so progress carries into daily routines.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Warm
Rooted
Direct

Warm, because I build trust with children and families first, and real progress happens in that safety. Rooted, because my bilingual, first-generation background and my commitment to cultural responsiveness shape how I see every child. Direct, because you deserve clear, honest information about your child’s development without jargon or judgment. I believe families are the experts on their children. My job is to bring clinical skill, curiosity, and respect so your child’s voice, in any language, can grow.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to serve monolingual and multilingual families, Spanish-speaking families, infants and toddlers, late talkers, children with speech sound disorders, and autistic children who need affirming, communication-focused support. My pediatric LSVT certification also makes me a good fit for children with motor-based speech and voice needs. I’m happy to explore AAC and to guide families through Regional Center services. I’m not as well-positioned to serve children whose primary need is stuttering therapy or complex feeding and swallowing concerns. In those cases, I’ll gladly help you find a specialist who is a better match.
