Ivymount School and Outreach

Ivymount School is a non-sectarian; non-public special education day school serving children and young adults; ages 4-21; with developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders and other related disabilities from throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Throughout the school; classroom models and instructional strategies are established to meet the individual needs of the students. Evidence-based practices; including Applied Behavior Analysis; systematic teaching; and data based programming are utilized across language rich environments including the classroom; school; and community. Ivymount's mission is to enable individuals to achieve their highest level of development; to support families in their efforts to make intelligent; thoughtful choices with their children; and to be leaders in the community and in the broad field of special education so that the School’s expertise is widely accessible.;Extending Ivymount's exceptional services to the community; Ivymount Outreach Programs offers recreational; educational; and therapeutic programs; including ABA services for individuals aged 2 through adult. Additionally; training and consultation across a variety of topics in the field of special education are available.
