Great location in west LA residents have easy access to Trader Joes and multiple bus stops. The staff is very knowledgeable and really cares about teaching residents valuable life skills.

Really knowledgeable and helpful staff. The location of the Independence Center is good can walk to grocery store and multiple bus stops so its great for individuals to learn how to shop and get around on their own

I have had the pleasure of knowing the Founder of Independence Center for decades and have attended past fundraisers. I can honestly share that the people and staff are dedicated. I have seen them help to change and shape lives through the programs. If I had a child with needs I would want them to learn the life skills taught with love at Independence Center.

Our son was a resident of IC for over 10 years and transitioned out of the program as a adult and now live independently due to the lessons learned at IC. It is a wonderful program with caring staff with terrific attitudes. We strongly recommend this program for young adults.

Dont send your kids here if they are looking to live independently this place is rn by a 88 year old lady that runs this place like its the 1950s staff here dont even stay 3 months they have a shortage of staff and I dont think its appropriate to send your children here if you want them to be independent.
