Beaming Review
My child attended here for a month, no issues with my child were ever expressed by any staff. My child was sent home from his day there with distinct finger print bruises on both of his calfs, no incident reports were made on the day of said incident, I was told nothing about the bruises or any incident in which bruises could have been caused to my child on the day my child was sent home with them. The day after I was told staff would be spoke with and I would be contacted, I was later contacted and told my child was allegedly attempting to "kick therapists in the face and they may have held his legs to tight to keep him from hurting them or others". When I asked who was involved the story changed and they came up with 7 "incident reports", made the day after my child was left bruised. I was then later called by the director and told that because no therapist reported holding my child they couldnt do anything, but they were going to retrain their staff. Then again I was contacted by the director and she informed me they were going to continue to "investigate internally", after having told me they day before that the staff indicated nothing so nothing could be done. This facility allegedly does not restrain, however my child was in some way grabbed with excessive force or restrained, all I want are answers as to who hurt my child.

The occupational therapy process includes an OT evaluation before care starts. Here are the four steps your family can expect when starting occupational therapy:
Complete OT evaluation. An occupational therapist first identifies your strengths and needs through a thorough OT evaluation, also known as an OT assessment or screening. You’ll answer questions about you your skills, and you will most likely demonstrate these skills via hands-on activities with the therapist. Evaluations can last 30 minutes to a couple hours.
Approve OT plan. The therapist develops a care plan with individualized goals and customized interventions based on your needs. You can also share any specific goals or concerns before approving the OT plan.
Start therapy sessions. The therapist works directly with you, using various strategies and exercises to systematically improve areas of limitations and to build upon your strengths. If there are others part of your care team, the therapist may teach strategies for supporting your individualized needs at home and may recommend tools and techniques to use at home, in the community, or in the classroom to help you thrive.
Monitor your progress. You can expect ongoing progress monitoring and communication to ensure you're achieving your short and long-term goals.
