In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) - San Bernardino

This place is trash especially the health department all they do is give you the run around they have to wait a half a month to get the hours from from the month that past to qualify and they have a wait list to pay for insurance.This is dumb.

I have something to say about a worker named Brandon who went above and beyond for me He really takes his job serious and knows what hes doing Brandon your the best Thank you for taking your time and patience with my case..I appreciate you

No one answers the designated phone numbers and others published on the internet state the number has been disconnected. Very poor public access. My mother needs IHSS support and she cannot get it because no one with IHSS San Bernardino answers or returns calls.

Cannot access an actual person on the phone. Customer service does not exist. No one answers in the San Bernardino location - have been calling for a week straight. Will try the next closest location.

The receptionist was available right away at the front service window it was COVID friendly and they were prompt they offered information about the subject i was requesting forms for and helpful and knowledgeably explained my portion of prerequisites.for form completion i felt safe knowing there was a security guard posted about the structure at all times and they were helpful in allowing me to charge a communication device i traveled with that had a drained battery. They normally are very helpful. If the people at the front desk dont know they will ask in the back. IHSS is great if youre a senior in need or someone in need of a job.

My social worker for my son case is amazing. Her name is Danielle. She always pick up my call or return my calls when I leave voicemail. Very helpful for my son case.

Always a long wait even if there is 2-3 people standing in line.

So rude and unprofessional. Irene says she sent the paper out to me for my orientation and that its not her problem when I informed her that it never arrived. She yelled at the top of her lungs that I would have to come in to the office and sign something to get another paper as she was only responsible for sending it and the rest was up to the mailman but she would not allow me to get it while at the office and would not mail me another just by calling. I told her I had been calling her and leaving messages for almost a month and she said thats too bad maam Im busy. Even though her machine tells me she will return my call within 24 hours I could not believe how mean she was to me. Will be happy if I never have to deal with this lady again. Unreal So disappointed.

The workers in San Bernadino who answer the phones put me on hold or dont answer the phones at all the calls go directly to the fax or you are to leave a message. If they do answer the phones they are dismissive with any questions I may have and if I leave a message I can always know I wont have a return call.I have been informed from the workers in San Bernadino county that there call center is known for being rude and inconsiderate to everyone who calls in and they also informed me that other county call centers are run more efficiently while they are more respectful to there patrons.
