If you care about your family do not take them here. When my father died here I was alone and I got his nurse and said I believed he was gone. She said what makes you say that I dont know how about the fact I just watched foaming blood spray out of his mouth and nose as his lungs deflated and he wasnt breathing anymoreRelatives who have gone in for self harm severe enough to require stitches got let go in under 24 hours. Brothers seizures were disregarded. Its not safe here.

If you want to stay alive stay away. The incompetence is abundant. Take the ride to Portmouth. Better yet go down to Manchester.

I was very ill a couple of weeks ago. I went to the emergency room for help. I could barely breath. I will say the staff were very nice. I was in such pain that I thought I was having a heart attack. After 5 and half hours xray and cat scan I was told I had a mass in my left lung. They said a mass or maybe pneumonia. I had one breathing treatment and that was it. Gave me an antibiotic and sent me on my way. I asked about an inhaler and was told didnt need one. Not only that they thought they could strong arm me by having the Dr. The PA and the nurses come in to tell me this. They said I did not meet their criteria for whatever. One week later I went th Conway memorial and was taken care of immediately. Breathing treatments IV because I was so dehydrated IV antibiotics xray and cat scan I needed magnesium and more. They changed the antibiotics and gave me steroids and a inhaler. Dr. asked me if the put me on steroids and a inhaler I said no. He rolled his eyes and walked away. After just a few days I was feeling so much better. So for over 2 weeks I hadnt eaten. I would never ever recommend Huggins hospital. Its a boutique hospital for people who have good insurance or are rich. I wouldnt even send my dog there.

Got charged nearly 2000 for a singular ER visit for something that ended up being nothing. Just for a singular X-ray. I was also 20 years old at the time...

I unfortunately felt terrible enough to where a trip to the ER was necessary. I have not had any good experiences over the past 3 years of my medical problems...until I went here last night. Every single person that I had contact with was outstanding. Emelia a P.A. was more qualified intelligent and capable than any doctor that Ive ever been to. My nurse Tom was incredibly compassionate. The ladies who did my EKG and and the imaging tech womanIm sorry ladies that I didnt catch your names. I was not on my game they were outstanding. I felt very confident that I was in good hands and when you feel horrible that makes a big difference. I have not seen this level of compassion and ability in many years. Thank you all for getting me back home and feeling a little better.

Sadly I need to tell the truth of what happened when admitted to their ER for abdominal obstruction this past July 2023. Although I had a very good ER doctor and then some very very nice nurses and med techs who tried unsuccessfully to get a blood sample bc my veins are shot from when I had cancer not their fault - the 2nd to last one who came in hurt me and my arm jerked involuntarily in response. So she YELLED AT ME to Stay Still I told her it felt like an electric shock and I could not help the response that it was involuntary. Perhaps bc I was in such great pain already - had she not read the chart about that But she continued to reprimand me harshly - repeating that I need to stay still I knew that - but I also know there is a better way having worked in hospitals myself for 10 years. The staff saw the problem and one of them looking embarrassed by the yelling nurse said to me apologetically Shes new. Then a much much nicer and far more experienced nurse - a senior one - was great and able to get my blood. But - when I recently received my requested medical records as part of my relocation process I saw that the RN had LIED in the chart am assuming to save her job that should be done about what happened Will skip the details - but I will have to consider suing this hospital unless this is resolved. This is SERIOUS stuff folks - beware

Worst experience my husband and I have had in trying to switch to Huggins. Their intake process for new patients is unacceptable. While I had issues they were resolved within 2 months and was able to get in to see Dr. Irwin who I was very happy with.My husband has been trying to switch over since March of 2023. Its now August 25th 2023 and is once again back at square 1. We both have spoken with an intake representative multiple times over the past several months by us contacting them. Set up the ridiculous path accounts that are useless. Signed ROI for them to get his previous medical records from his former primary care both electronically and by regular mail MULTIPLE TIMES. It still hasnt been done. Huggins will not schedule him for any appointments until they have his previous records. This has become unacceptable and nothing but a waste of time and frustration. While theyre great at apologies they lack complete follow through on their end and theres no accountability. If it wasnt for Dr. Irwin and myself liking him as a thorough Dr. I would switch hospitals to one that actually does their job in intake and follows through as we have in doing what intake has requested us to do so my husband can be seen before his medical condition becomes an emergency.

Huggins has a great staff in all areas. Huggins is a CAH and has the ability to treat a wide range of medical cases and has connections with other hospitals to refer patients for specialized care. The Emergency Department is 247365.

I can not express how pleased I was with the professional sincere and gentle treatment I received in the ER. My nurse went absolutely above and beyond making me feel safe and comfortable during a somewhat embarrassing event. The physicians assistant was professional and had a great sense of humor when I needed it most. The radiology technician was so gentle in her demeanor and made me feel so comfortable. Not that I ever want to go to the ER again if I did however it would be this one for sure. Thank you thank you thank you
