The Dr I was working with for months suddenly left the practice 6 months ago and she gave me a number for her coworker who she said I could continue seeing to say on my current medication. That was 6 MONTHS ago... I ran out of my medication after rationing it for the last month and now Im completely off my medication that Ive been on for 18 years. On the phone Ive tried the office option my old drs option all the other drs just trying to get someone to answer and no one has called me back and I havent gotten anything except voicemails. Im reporting this place for medical negligence. Please dont go here

I feel really bad for leaving a negative review so to clarify this is for THE OFFICE RECEPTIONISTS ONLY in 2019 pre-COVID - my experiences with my doctor once I finally got in have been the best Ive had in the area. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of the office there was no way to contact them online the only option was a telephone number that no one would answer during business hours. They also did not return calls from the multiple voicemails I left them. Once I finally got ahold of someone - I had to stop by IN PERSON to get someone to actually listen to me and tell me what the next steps were to get care. The insurance information on their website was not accurate at the time. There was a mandatory prospective patient telephone interview with someone who was NOT a doctor who was very coldimpatient and asked some frankly offensive questions. Why they cant just schedule a initial consultation with a psychiatrist like other offices After I finally got a first appointment I filled out all the forms and gave the receptionist my cc info for payment then several months later they sent me angry voicemailsemails demanding payment info that I hadnt provided. Did they lose some of my paperwork Restrooms are locked with keys behind the reception desk have fun if your appointment is after the reception team leaves with no gender neutral option. My individual psychiatrist is amazing but Hudson Psychiatric Associates needs to fire their whole reception team and start from scratch IMO.

Its sad to know that my reviews arent even about the experience with the therapists themselves because I havent been able to even get in touch with the receptionist in setting up an appointment. I did the research and found that this association is covered under my insurance plan. The receptionist said shed call me back for setting up a consultation. Its been almost three weeks and no follow up. Ive called back a few times left messages and still nothing.Usually I wouldnt leave a bad review for trying to set up an appointment but considering that this an office for mental health the stress and anxiety I have felt for even trying to get my foot in the door makes this experience that much more daunting.

Im not too sure as to why there are complaints about being able to reach the facility. I called and left a voicemail and received a call back the next day where I had a short interview. They said they would be in contact with me in 48 hours and they were. I was able to make a consultation appointment and its a very detailed and professional session with a very understanding psychiatrist. The dr. is not a therapist. I see a therapist as well. This facility is for the purpose of prescribing medication only do not expect therapy. Anyway place seems great.

I had heard some good things about this office but the experience I had with my daughter was not a good one. My daughter was going through a very rough period and granted they did agree to see me in a relatively short time. At the visit my daughter had a breakdown and the doctor we saw referred us to the ER. After a few months when my daughter was stable and on medication I called to see if the doctor could see us again. The receptionist told me no because the doctor said he felt my daughter would do better with intensive outpatient care - even though I told him my insurance wouldnt cover it. So we ended up going back to JC Medical Center. After another few months at JCMC I was looking for a new psych and found Dr. Sharif through my insurance plan. Found out she also worked at Hudson Psych Assoc as well but I figured Id give it a shot - new doc 6 months later. etc. Receptionist pulled up my info said she would speak with doc. She called me back and said the office still wouldnt take my daughter because again they felt she would benefit from intensive outpatient therapy. Told them once again its not covered but was just told sorry. To be clear I do not blame receptionist she was very nice and called me back when she said. Unfortunately it seems like my daughter has been blacklisted which is a shame. They could have at least seen her ONCE since she was stable and then make another recommendation if needed. Sad when we expect psychiatrists to help us.
