This place is amazing Not only is the staff great but they go out of their way to make sure you and your children have the best experience. I bring my 14 month old here and we have been coming since she was 6 months and we plan on continuing for as long as she needs Our teacher is Ms. Iliana and she is one of the best So patient and kind with kids and she loves them. You can just tell Dont think twice sign up

Weve been going to HSC for many years. My boys learned how to swim here and moved on to swim teams. Ive recommended this place and any HSC location to many parents who were looking for a reputable place for their kids to learn. So when I signed up another family member I knew what to expect. It was unfortunately disappointing. Its not the same as when I had my boys came to this place. The instructor played football with the floating devices throwing it to the wall and catching it quiet often. I let it go at first thinking maybe hes just trying to loosen the kids up but it happened frequently in a 30 min session with 3 kids. He also told one kid to throw it at him but it ended up hitting another kid that was floating in the pool w another instructor. He had the kids swim the lap with their floating devices and then looked away or chatted w other instructors in the pool. It wasnt only me who noticed but the other parents as well. We noticed he didnt pay attention or correct their breathing strokes and kicks. He just tells them to swim but not correct their mistakes or even look at what theyre doing. After we complained the teacher got it together and I was feeling more optimistic. He also spoke to me about what the kids will be learning by the next week only to get a sub the following weekno continuity. Our collective complaint gave the other parents 2 extra free days to make up what we thought were a waste of time and money. I will not be asking for make up. Im just glad the 2 weeks is over because I did my part to get the student there on time and ready to learn only to waste our time the first week then getting a sub the following week. Very disappointed.Im sure there are other great teachers. I give it a one star because back then you get quality teachers all the time. Now my advice is to know which teacher your child is signed up to before committing because once committed to the 2 week program you cant change your teacher.

Im not sure about the reviews from earlier on in the pandemic but these folks are doing every reasonable thing to make the facility safe. They keep the kids separated with dividers between them. The entire staff is wearing face masks or shields in the water. There is a lady that cleans the chairs for the parents as soon as someone gets gets up.As for a non pandemic things. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. I really couldnt ask for more. And my kid is learning quickly and becoming a confident swimmer.

Wish i can give zero star. Worst ever swim class in entire Houston. They have some dumb staff and front desk who dont know how to schedule classes. They randomly cancel classes.Be ware pool is very dirty with germs..so many kids fell sick...no makeup policy..You will find many good swim classes..Avoid Houston Swim Club

Ive been using this Swim Club for 4 years and never had any issues with the instructors or lifeguards. In fact they are very nurturing. I have two children going twice per week and have NEVER seen or heard any instructor acting inappropriate with the swimmers. Once or twice I have seen an instructor lecture a child for running or doing something unsafe. Ive seen some kids not acting appropriate but the instructors still had patience with them. The lifeguards are always standing near the little non-swimmers watching them closely. In fact my little 2 year old accidentally slip off the step into the water while her instructor Mr. Michael was with another student. The lifeguard Mr. T was standing right there and immediately pulled her out of the water. She never cried and the lifeguard had a little talk to her. She has never left the step after that. My 2 year old is still in that stage of not wanting to be near strangers. However shes doing extremely well with her instructors. In fact Mr. T had picked her up and carried her to her swimming station and she never cry or even looked scared. My 4 year old has already learned freestyle swimming and is now learning to do the backstroke. They have different levels which are based on the ability of the childs progress. A child has to successfully perform a three step float test. At the beginning theyll teach the child to float on their back and get out of the pool without assistance. Finally they must float on their back with street clothes on Such a great idea since kids accidentally falling in a pool usually dont have swim suits on. They are serious about water safety.Weve checked out another local swim center closer to home but we werent impress. I think the only complain we have with this Swim Club is the spinner they have for removing water from the swim suit. Its a hit or miss when its working. Other than that were very happy with this Houston Swim Club and my children are progressing very well.

my niece has been assisting here for more than year and half and our experience has gone down hill through our journey. The latest incident happen this week when the trainer Eduardo remove my nieces goggles so hard that the goggles bounce back and bruise my nieces eye. He is to tough to be around kids.

I had 3 kids enrolled at this swim club and they started this week. They have been working with the teacher by the name of Jackie T. She is extremely rude and abrasive with kids. She literally had both my older kids CRYING. She yelled at them grabbed one by the arm and pulled him to the side. She either has personality disorder andor psych issues and she should not be allowed to interact with children. She never smiles and literally yells. I have watched the interaction from the window.Whatever her personal issue that causes her to have this abhorrent behavior she needs to have those addressed prior to any interaction with children. My older 2 kids are in the 10 day course that starts at 12 pm. There was another child with them and the mother talked to me today saying that she is really mean and the kid is crying and doesnt want to go back. She was not even able to take him to class today. This was verbal abuse and physical abuse based on the way she yanked my kids arm.She can traumatize kids for life. They dont need this this early on or EVER.This is completely UNACCEPTABLE behavior with kids. The front desk and manager were completely dismissive of my complaints. I got the owner Tammys email from them. I emailed her all details and have still not heard back from her.I have withdrawn my kids from this place and never plan on going back here and I plan to take these incidents to the proper authorities.

Great facility super friendly staff. They do their best to sanitize after every class. They wear masks in the pool and keep the kids apart. Not sure what the other reviews expect. When you take your kids out in public theres always a risk.My 4 yr old child advanced very quickly through the program. She couldnt swim at all in beginning and within a few weeks shes swimming and floating on her own. Just follow the program and youll have the same results.
