Beaming Review

Dr. Barnes is the most unethical BCBA in Arkansas. Do NOT send your children here. She will push your child to their limit causing increase in behaviors. She’s money hungry and borderline abusive to her clients. Your kid deserves better than the care she gives. The RBTS are great, they’d be better off somewhere with a different BCBA. You can tell they carry the passion and empathy that Dr. Barnes lacks. This is from personal experience and what i’ve heard from others. Do better Dr. Barnes.

The owner constantly contradicts herself and does not actually help parents who struggle with the behavior of their child. She instead suggests to have them sent away or the family ends up going to another ABA clinic where improvements in behavior are actually seen. Also, parents are not allowed to go inside the clinic at all and the excuse is “HPPA” but all other clinics at least allow the parents to see the conditions of the clinic. One more thing, she is highly motivated for money and will pay attention to the clients who bring in the most money. I would be careful to send your child here because she does not help even though she has all of these years of experience like she likes to brag about. It does not matter if you are not actually helping these families.

In our opinion: therapists was great but the owner is unethical, unprofessional, inappropriate and contradicts herself often in emails and on paper. (I strongly suggest any correspondence via email be kept for proof like we did to prove the lies). Her degrees/past accomplishments, that she loves to talk about, mean nothing if not applied to children in her care. It's unfortunate that such good therapists (the ones who haven't quit yet) have to be around such a person to further their career in ABA for children. The best thing we have done by far is get our child out of this clinic and into a healthy environment.
