Steer clear First off Ive waited months for this appointment for my severely special needs child. We arrive early with our paper work to be talked to rudely and not friendly at all. We were asked to come back at 1. So we left and came back at 1. I walked in and sat down. My husband stayed in the car with our son. I sat there for 35 minutes. Not one person acknowledged me. I eventually walked up to the window and asked what time she thought Dr Fox would be able to see my son. She was rude and told me that shes in a meeting and that she wasnt sure. So I called my husband to let him know. A few later Fox walks out. Shes rude from the moment she came out. She called my sons name and then proceeded to tell me that we needed to step outside. So we did. She then told me that she wasnt going to see us because of my attitude at the desk. My husband was walking up with my son right as she was saying it. She didnt care that we traveled 2 hours. She didnt care that we waited another minutes and she didnt care that my severe special needs son needed to see her. This place is joke. Do not go here Do not waste any of your time. DR FOX IS A NIGHTMARE

Where do I begin after feeling absolutely hopeless and alone we found dr fox. Im a hands on stay at home mom and I have been to what feels like the ends of this earth to get my child help. To get help and relief for my whole family as most of us know this isnt easy for anyone. From the moment I walked into our appointment with dr fox we just had an overwhelming feeling that this was going to be different. From the kindness and compassion of the staff and the time spent and pure attentiveness of dr fox I now see why you may find your self waiting a little longer. My husband and I truly feel dr fox has made a lasting impact on our family. The time you give up in the waiting room is beyond made up for in your sessions. She truly cares about her clients and we simply love that. Weve never once felt rushed or mistreated as we have felt so so many times elsewhere. We are forever thankful for Georgia autism center dr fox along with her compassionate staff for being there for our family when weve needed it the most. If you too have felt alone and hopeless just looking for help for your child please take the chance. Good things come to those who wait and Im glad we did.

The receptionist is a racist lady. We took my nephew to get evaluate and my sister in law didnt took a translator because they do not provide a translator for you and she just told my sister in law Im canceling the appointment she made her feel really bad and unwanted there. Im saying as a professional she should be more polite and understanding and not make her feel the way she did. lack of professionalism.

My 4 year old recently had a few appointments with them for his initial intake and testing. From requesting an appointment to speaking with staff its been a great experience. The staff are professional and friendly. Theyre very accommodating with scheduling and for us there wasnt a long wait list at all. Im so happy they take our insurance as well. It made the 1.5 hour drive to them worth it each time. Highly recommend

Dr.Travers was so patient knowledgeable. She explained everything the process to me my son. She took her time with evaluating the results got back to me in a timely manner. It is important to know not to rush the results it can take 8-12 weeks to get them. I spent 10 plus years trying to get my son that is now 16 years old diagnosed with autism. We are so happy that we found Georgia Autism Center. They are the best. Not to mention we drove from the Augusta area have been on the waiting list for one doctor out there until 2025 I know INSANE Thank you again Dr. Travers 1010.

Dr. Duncan has supported both of my children with early diagnosis process. Shes made us feel so supportive and cared about. We literally drive an hour to get to her because she is beyond worth it. I would refer anyone I care about here and am so grateful for this place and all that they do to support our neuro-spicy family

Didnt even have my sons intake appointment and problems came up. We waited months for this appointment I even took the day off work. And on a Sunday night before my appointment on Monday afternoon they emailed me canceling my appointment and letting me know they would reach out the next day for rescheduling I had scheduled my appointment back in April Now Im back in square one with having to find a new place and potentially having to wait another 4 months to be seen somewhere. Save yourself the headache and waste of time and do not come here.

My Daughter had an Appointment back in June after months of waiting to be seen the day before appointment they cancelled the appointment. My daughter was going out of town till August and needed it done. They rescheduled. Now they are telling me they can no longer see her because they dont see anyone over the age of 7. I have to find someone who can now get her in and possibly have to wait another 6 to 8 months to get her the help she needs. Very unporfessional. They say they are there to help the family but it just added street and lack of care in the staff. They Dont respond to phone calls for several days to a week or more. My other son did start with them but now I am also told that I have to start all over with him as well. His testing was done but no follow ups or anything will be allowed. Have to find a new place

I am appalled by how the Georgia Autism Center treats these kids. So much emphasis is placed on early intervention but yet it takes almost a year to set up an evaluation. We were informed that after the evaluation we will receive the report in 6-8 weeks. This did not happen. No one from the office even had the courtesy to inform us that they needed more time. After we reached out we were told that it would take about another 3 weeks to get the report. Once we received the report there were a few concerning issues.1 Out of curiosity I would like to know how they triage which kidsfamilies receive their reports first. Is it based on the date they were seen Is it based on the severity of the diagnosis Is it based on a perceived notion that they cant afford services anyway so their report can wait Or some other factors2 The person writing the report was not even in the room for the evaluation. Is this even ethical Many of the things mentioned in the report leading to the diagnosis were not even observed by the evaluator. The parents arent experts.3 The report has things in it which dont even apply to my child. Was it a copy and paste from another childs report that they forgot to delete4 Everything was very rushed. Was there even enough time to make a qualified diagnosisOverall the quality of services need to be improved at Georgia Autism Center. These childrens lives are depending on it. Better communication from staff is needed as well. It should not take 3-4 months to receive a report after the evaluation and the report is inaccurate with things that dont even apply to the child. I hope they improve.

My experience was great her staff was patient with me and my daughter. Dr. Walker was very compassionate and patient during testing. Her team took extensive measures to make us feel at ease about the whole process. I m so glad we choose Ga Autism
