About Garden Center Services - State Program Location

Garden Center Services was established in 1956 as a grassroots effort to support children with developmental disabilities and their families. What started as an organization run entirely from a space above the garage at Reavis High School has blossomed into a multi-program agency that has a reputation for providing outstanding services to adults with disabilities.

Ive just spoke with Manager Micheaux.I was told Im being let go because Im not a out going. which I didnt understand if I got hired ON THE SPOT. Ive only been working 10 days.i havent shadowed anyone a full day. I was asking questions Myself I even took it upon myself to make my own personal check lists of duties I need to do within the day. Going beyond the duty list I mean cleaning dusty light fixtures. Cleaning an inch of dust off of top of bathroom cabinets. I have been working to do my best because I do want to change my career path. Its very unfortunate that I got released because of my so called personality when I have only been there 10 days. I was asked to teach new employees and Ive only been there 8 days at the time. If thats not outgoing I dont know what is I am a very outgoing person. I just want to learn my responsibilities first. I was getting to know consumers. Sitting in their room talking to them learning their disabilities. Im not sure what personality traits they were looking for but if thats their main focus it should be in the job description or posted somewhere. And as far as being told what to do. I am in training well was in training. So I would think its a managers job to coach until employee is ready and fully aware. I was doing good on my own though. Taking initiative without anybody telling me or asking me. I would be speaking to a higher representative or HR about this.I am highly disappointed in this companys and necessary action will be taking action.
