My daughter is 6 years old and has Down syndrome. I have committed my life to ensuring that she has access to what she needs to thrive. She has been receiving OT and PT services since she was 8 weeks in addition to other services to address learning differences and developmental delays. We have participated in therapies upwards of 4x per week. I thoroughly research facilities and their providers and read all the reviews. We began our special needs journey in San Diego where there are great providers and facilities. My expectations are high. We moved to MoCo two years ago and have worked with two other clinics to support my daughters SLP OT and PT needs. With that information as a qualifier here is my honest review of Fitness for Health FFHPROS FFH is hands down the best therapeutic gym there is. Its so unique and state-of-the-art that I sought out an opportunity to speak with the owner myself about the facility. His name is Marc. He shared that his vision for FFH was to simply create what he wished he had growing up. You can absolutely tell that this was and most importantly still is the goal What Marc has built is second to noneFFH seems to attract some of the best therapist in the area with very little turnover. Provider fit is important for my daughter and losing her providers who she calls friends can be traumatic and result in regression of skills. The therapist at FFH enjoy working there. One therapist told me that Marc is open to new ideas from his therapist and supports them by ensuring he adds any requested new equipment to the gym regularly. I cant begin to tell you all that is there. Marc has invested a lot of money back into his business and the equipment is like nothing I have ever seen at any other facility Ive been a part of or toured. I believe Marcs commitment to his vision therapist and our children is why his facility is so phenomenal. Also at FFH we work with licensed therapist rather than therapy assistants if that is important to you.Lastly and important to me the policies and practices of the facility are considerate and fair. So long as youre not abusing their cancellation missed appointment policy they work with you when something unforeseen happens. They know and understand the market they serve. If you can get a time slot at FFH that fits your schedule or if you can rearrange your schedule to fit FFH do it You wont find a better place in the DMV area or possibly even the Country. I highly highly highly recommend FFHCONS I wish all my daughters developmental needs could be serviced here. They currently only offer OT and PT with camp options that integrate SLP and ABA support. I am hoping that FFH adds SLP and ABA providers permanently to their service offerings. I believe SLP and ABA therapist would really love working with the children through movement and FFH has everything they could dream up. As of now families needing SLP and ABA are contending with long waitlist especially for after school slots cash only practices I dont see how I could add insurance reimbursement paperwork to my existing workload andor providers that are still virtual no thanks. While FFH is conveniently located off Rockville Pike in North Bethesda it is easy to miss. You could pass it every day and not know it.

I have 2 parents in their 70s and was looking for something to get them more active 1-2 a week. We went to visit unexpectedly after doing a Google search. We met Marc the owner and he was so passionate and excited about what his practice that it naturally made us excited about what he offers and his workout practice. Marc was super welcoming and got both my parents active and enthusiastically participating in his exercises which I know is hard for them to do. I think Fitness for Healtb has a super unique program with tools and methodologies that really engage the body and mind. Most importantly it is fun but delivered in a caring supportive environment which my parents need because they are seniors and need more personal attention that a LA Fitness type gym. So glad we found Marc and Fitness for Health. I hope more people can learn about what this place is about. We are truly happy clients. Great for seniors as well as kids

Lynda has been so great with my son. He needed 3x a week PT but he quickly got up to speed and very clearly gained strength. She was even flexible to accommodate our schedules. The gym is amazing it reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese So many fun games to get the kids motivated

Great individualized care for my 5 year old son The occupational health provider strives to make a personal connection while making it a mission to reach his goals. The care is specialized particularly catering to his pace and feedback. She goes above and beyond to provide expertise to his multi-disciplinary team so that his progress and results are intertwined into all aspects of his care. The admin team is also incredibly helpful quick to respond and always willing to accommodate. 5 stars

Fitness for Health has been such an amazing experience for my son. He has grown more confident about his physical abilities since coming last summer. He used to be so self conscious about his lack of agility and strength which affected his self-esteem. Now he is confident and stronger It is not just a physical workout. They incorporate a cognitive workout. Fantastic trainers here

My kids now young adults gained so much -- in both confidence and physical fitness -- from their years working with the fabulous trainers at Fitness for Health. One adult daughter still works out twice a week on the sophisticated and FUN equipment at F4H. Heres whats wonderful a huge variety of equipment and exercise-gaming routines trainers who are focused positive and encouraging and a very organized and efficient office team. F4H staff are compassionate and skilled serving people with and without special needs as well as seniors and athletes with different fitness goals. I can highly recommend Fitness for Health

Fitness for Health is the best The staff is kind and knowledgeable the equipment is state-of-the-art. My son is never bored or frustrated because there is so much to do and his routine is always varied just enough to keep it interesting. He thinks he is playing and having fun and he is but he is also getting a superior OT workout for his brain and body.

Our son who is on the spectrum and has mild ADHD has motor coordination and other challenges with his gross motor skills went to Fitness for Healths Therapeutic Exercise program every week for a few years. He made great progress working with a couple of the staff and Marc himself. They worked diligently with our son who showed a lot of improvement. I could not recommend Fitness for Health Marc and his staff highly enough.
