Fairfield DD is committed to continuing our journey as a mission-driven organization. Author Simon Sinek uses three words – WHY, HOW, and WHAT - in a concept he names The Golden Circle. The outermost circle, labelled WHAT, represents an organization’s output. The next circle, HOW, includes the values, processes, and infrastructure behind the work, and the innermost circle represents WHY the organization does what it does. Mission-driven organizations stay core to their mission by always keeping the WHY in mind and continually focusing on the task of adding value and enhancing the lives of others. By communicating “the WHY behind the WHAT” in everything we do, Fairfield DD’s goal is to create higher motivation and engagement with all stakeholders, including staff, those we support, their families, and our community members. As we lead the organization through the next three years, Fairfield DD is committed to keeping the “why” as our primary focus.
