Faces Behavioral Services

The Faces clinic offered at the Sunny Days Preschool site is open from 9 am to 5 pm for children ages 18 months – 14 years. The Faces clinic provides socialization and school readiness opportunities that may not otherwise occur during home sessions. A clinical supervisor provides ongoing supervision to facilitate activities and routines. Individual ABA goals are developed and targeted throughout the clinic session to include independent skills, social opportunities, appropriate play skills, and management of challenging behaviors.

Faces is currently offering very limited services for in-home and community (daycare, after-school programs, scheduled play dates). 

Faces is currently providing services for clients living in the South Bay between Palo Alto and San Jose. Our clinic is located at the Sunny Days Preschool campus in San Jose, CA.

The simple answer is: whenever you’re ready. You are your child’s greatest advocate and protector. It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers, or aren’t able to perfectly explain everything. Teach and practice calming strategies with your child. Helping your child learn how to manage their emotions and reactions is very important. Teach your child different ways they can calm down and relax, such as:

• Deep breathing, counting to 10, using sensory toys (like squishy balls or putty), going for a walk, listening to music
• Build "relaxation time" into their normal routines and schedules
• Practice these when your child is happy and calm so that later, when they’re highly stressed, they can access these skills
