Exceptional Children's Center

Love this place My son has been going here for about a year and a half. Ive always been happy with the staff - which is very knowledgeable and also very kind with my son. My 3-year old worked with Summer speech and Tanvi OT and they have been excellent over the past year. This is a place I recommend to any friends who are looking for a great speechOT.

We just finished up speech therapy after 2.5 years. We did a hybrid of virtual and in-person appointments and we had a great experience all around Miss McKenzie is a wonderful resource and my son is super disappointed to be done with his sessions. The staff are all helpful and friendly would highly recommend this place for anyone needing these services.

My two year old is having some speech delay and it was hard to find anything in my area due to waiting list. When I called Exceptional Childrens Center the professionalism or customer service and patience that the front desk had in answering all my questions. They were able to get my little one in immediately and so far we have had our evaluation and a few appointments and every interaction from the staff has been nothing short of amazing. My little one is quiet clingy and I was very worried about him venturing off to his sessions alone so that was a goal of mine but by his second appointment he was very comfortable with his speech therapist Meghan and went alone. I am seeing a little growth with sign language and I just couldnt be more pleased with this center.

Ive known and supported this Organization for years now and there is no mission more genuine than that of Exceptional Childrens Center. To take such a personal hands-on approach with local kids and their families couldnt recommend them highly enough.

Weve been going to Exceptional childrens center for many many years Weve been there for OT and speech. Best place ever.

We have done Occupational Therapy here for about a year and a half and we have been very pleased especially when compared to our old therapy place. We havent had any of the issues we ran into with insurance filings. I highly recommend them if they accept your insurance.

Maybe this center offers good service....unfortunately most families will never have access to them. They work with Tricare blue cross blue shield and Care First. If you dont have one of those you need to be ready to shell out hundreds of dollars out of pocket and then do all the insurance paperwork yourself. The vast majority of families especially those already facing higher medical costs associated with having special needs kids absolutely cannot afford these services. Youll be fine if youre wealthy or active duty. Otherwise youre on your own. Not sure how the owners could possibly feel good about this.

This is my first time writing a review which indicates how strongly I feel about the services we receive at Exceptional Childrens Center. Although the DCMDVA area is saturated with occupational and speech therapists ECC stands above all others. Our son not only receives quality services from a therapist trained in dealing with young children through adolescents but ECCs selection of these therapists is incomparable. ECCs therapists are not only up to date in the latest proven methods but are all caring compassionate individuals who invest in your child. The benefits our son receives through ECC extend far beyond OT services. Hes built a relationship with his OT which motivates and inspires him as a person. Our family is truly blessed to have found ECC.

My son has been receiving services since December 2015. We are very pleased with them. My son enjoys attending and is making lots of progress in his speech development. The only thing that I would say needs improvement is the ladies at the receptionist desk. They rarely smile which make them seem a little unfriendly. Just a little though.

This place is unreal The facility the staff the therapists....theyre all wonderful My son is three and receives both speech and occupational therapy...

My son has been going to therapy here for about 5 years. They were previously known as Kingstowne Pediatric Occupational Therapy Center. We have been absolutely pleased with all aspects of care from ECC. Phil Tracey the owners love what they do all the children they are able to help. The staff and therapists are top notch. We couldnt be happier.

We just love this place Our daughter received OT and SP here for 5 years. The owners and staff are all excellent people who really care about your kiddo....
