About Eric Jorgensen

That’s where I come in. I’m walking this journey too, my son has disabilities and will need support for the rest of his life. I have spent the last 10 years becoming an expert on what State and Federal benefits are available across the country. Let me put this knowledge to work for you.

Founding Story

I remember the floor dropping from underneath me and my wife, Christine, and when we were told our son had PDD – NOS; wondering what it meant and what we could do. We had taken William to see the doctor because William was non-verbal, flapped his arms seemingly uncontrollably, and lined his toy cars up in a straight line (the only way he would play with them).

I was a little less than halfway through a 20-year Navy career, so much of the research fell to Christine. I was gone almost more than I was home between deployments and out-of-state duty stations. I remember how stressed Christine would get because answers were so difficult to find, and often seemingly contradictory.

It took time, but eventually, we got our son, William, enrolled in an early intervention program in Connecticut. At age 5, William received a diagnosis of “Autism” and as time progressed, intellectual disability, learning disabilities, echolalia, and Tourette Syndrome.
