Hi! I'm Emilee. I'm an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Virginia and the owner of Joyful Noise Speech Therapy! I grew up in rural Southwest Virginia and now reside in the New River Valley. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Radford University.
I’m passionate about helping children reach their communication goals through meaningful connection and individualized therapy. My clinical interests include early language development, autism support, and use of augmentative and alternative communication. I have experience helping children of all ages with a variety of diagnoses.

I would best describe myself as caring, dependable, and flexible. I value building genuine relationships with my clients and their families. Families can count on me to be consistent, prepared, and fully present at each session. I also understand that every child and family has unique needs, so I strive to stay flexible, whether that means adapting therapy approaches, adjusting goals, or meeting families where they are to best support their success.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best equipped to serve pediatric clients, though I am also open to working with adults. I have significant experience supporting individuals who use AAC and those with complex communication needs. I enjoy working with a wide range of language, speech, fluency, reading, and feeding disorders. I view myself as a lifelong learner and am committed to ongoing professional development to better support the clients I serve.
