About Embracing the Creative Child

Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. We do this by offering individual programming that is geared towards the learner. Our belief is you are never too old to learn something new. We'll come into your home and develop a plan to help your child or young adult reach their fullest potential. We'll sit down with you to determine individualized objectives to help your child learn new skills. Those skills could be toileting, food selectivity, adaptive daily living skills and more. This is an area where many kids/adults are lacking. We offer groups based on age and ability with the focus increasing appropriate social skills in the home and community. A combination of verbal descriptions, role playing, contrived situations and real-life situations help our clients generalize these skills. Our team can come into the school and provide consultation to your educators. We have extensive experience within the public schools and understand the challenges that may arise. We can also provide direct instruction with discrete trials and social skills. If you need assistance completing functional behavior assessments, ABLLS-R, AFLS, VB-MAPP, or social skills assessments we have you covered.
