Introduction
I’m Elyssa Hoffman, a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist based in the Solano and Contra Costa Counties and I work with children ages 18 months to 10 years. My therapy approach is play-based and child-led, incorporating movement, music, and sensory tools when appropriate to create engaging, meaningful sessions that feel fun while supporting real communication growth.
I have experience supporting children through early intervention, speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, fluency, and social communication/pragmatic skills. I’m transparent that I’m not as well-positioned to serve nonspeaking children, and I believe in helping families find the best possible fit for their child’s needs.
I’m deeply passionate about partnering with families, making therapy enjoyable and motivating, and helping each child find their voice in a way that feels natural and empowering. Families and colleagues often describe me as fun, empathetic, patient, caring, passionate, and driven.
When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me at the gym, attending yoga classes, teaching family yoga in the community, spending time with my dog, or relaxing with a good book.
