Elmhurst YMCA

I am a longterm member of the YMCA. I love the people I meet there.They are all friendly caring and interesting. It isnt crowded or noisy and I love that the pool has a deep end so I can do movement in the water. I feel like Ive had a massage when I get out.

Nice little community YMCA. Good quality equipment jam-packed into a fairly nice space. Clean with well maintained equipment. Not much in regards to free weights and no platforms. Limited space around machines due to the amount of fitness equipment Small three-lane pool and locker rooms have a sauna and steam room. Small cycling studio and several other small studios. Good old fashion gymnasium for basketball and other activities.

Went there for a birthday party. Staff was pleasant and kind. The place was very clean.

I have been going to this gym for 3 years now and this past year I have noticed how much cleaner the mens lockers room is.I come back for the steam room for my lower back problems and this location is by far the cleanest I always see the young man cleaning when I go during the late afternoon and he deserves employee of the month for all that work my wife and I see him doing. We as seniors can appreciate the sanitary condition that is in because it matters to our health and a clean gym is what we appreciate

I love the YMCA at Elmhurst. I am a member for around 5 years. The classes are awesome. They have different classes for different levels. The instructors are great. They are always encouraging you to give the 100. I have to say that the pandemic times was easier to handle with them. The staff in general are very kind and I feel that I am part of the community. Thanks

You can find me here 4 times a week. Free weights Cybex machines and plenty of cardio options give you plenty of options for a good workout. Want a bigger challenge There are options for fitness classes personalized training and swimming. In the winter the ice rink is open for skating and hockey.

Love the senior classes at the Elmhurst YMCA Chair yoga is the best Carol the front desk clerk makes the place so special. She greets everyone with a warm smile and learns your name right away which makes you feel welcome in this location.

YMCA has very bad management. I tried to enroll my son into the swimming program so I contacted them. The associate was not available so I emailed her. After several days of waiting she did not write back so I gave her a call. She didnt pick up so I left a voicemail. She never got back to me.

I am probably not the best person to objectively judge this place considering Im infatuated with it. For someone visiting for the first time probably nothing will stand out. Yet there are so many amenities here - pool is pretty nice there is a huge gym and ice rink is magical in the winter.Their youth programs are pretty good. Considering they have mentioned amenities pool gym ice rink they are able to take kids for lots of extra activities.
