Introduction

Hi, I’m Elizabeth, a pediatric speech-language pathologist based in San Leandro, CA. I support children from birth through adolescence using a child-led, neurodiversity-affirming approach that celebrates each individual’s unique communication style. My areas of expertise include speech sound disorders, gestalt language processing, autism, and selective mutism. I’m passionate about empowering families and helping children grow into confident, authentic communicators. When I’m not in therapy sessions, you can usually find me playing soccer, reading, doing crossword puzzles, or spending time with my family.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Patient
Caring
Warm
If I had to choose three words to describe myself, I’d say patient, warm, and caring. Patience helps me meet each child exactly where they are, at their pace and comfort level. Warmth allows me to build trusting, joyful relationships that form the foundation of meaningful progress. Care reflects my commitment to understanding each child’s strengths, challenges, and unique ways of communicating. Together, these qualities shape how I show up for families—steadily, compassionately, and with genuine belief in every child’s potential.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I’m best positioned to serve children ages 0–18 who benefit from a child-led, neurodiversity-affirming approach. I have particular expertise supporting children with speech sound disorders, gestalt language processing, autism, and selective mutism, and I love helping families understand and nurture their child’s individual communication strengths. While I’m always happy to collaborate and help families find the right fit, I am not as well-positioned to serve children whose primary needs involve dysphagia or feeding. In those cases, I typically refer families to clinicians with specialized training in those areas.
