Introduction

My name is Elizabeth Baron but please call me "Beth". I am a Speech Language Pathologist based in Aldie, VA. I specialize in pediatrics but I am also currently working with the adult population too. I have worked in private practice settings with PT's and OT's, home health settings with ABA therapists and in the school setting. My strengths are working with children in early intervention with delayed language skills, receptive and expressive language disorders, autism, Down's syndrome, oral motor disorders, sensory disorders, articulation, stuttering, social skills and adults with aphasia and dysphagia. I am also specialized to train and coach adults in public speaking skills.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Relationships
Dedicated
Fun
With over 28 years of experience, I have learned that my favorite part of being a Speech Language Pathologist is building relationships with my clients and their families along with other professionals they work with in the community. The therapy process can be challenging and our relationship will enable us to work as a team to make the most progress possible. I am also passionate about providing social skills groups for children with peers close to their age. I am extremely dedicated to my clients and will provide outside resources/consultations with PT and OT's/ and experiences whenever possible to assist in the therapy process. Most of all I like to keep my therapy sessions fun with challenging moments and learning built into the games we experience in a play based setting.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

2 years to 100 years
I am best positioned to serve children ages 2 and older who benefit from a play based, relationship-centered approach with structured time for learning. I can also coach parents on providing structure and boundaries in the home to assist their children in carrying over these skills outside of our sessions. I am also positioned to work with the adult population in areas of language, cognition and dysphagia. My goal is to help anyone of any age be a better communicator!

Beth is absolutely amazing! My son saw her at her previous practice for nearly two years, and we couldn't have asked for a better therapist. Her energy, patience, and incredible approach with kids who have sensory needs and ADHD make all the difference. You know you've found someone truly special when your child is genuinely excited to go to therapy every single week. He's so excited to continue working with Beth at her new practice, and we are too! We're incredibly grateful for everything she's done to help our son grow and thrive, and we can't recommend her enough.

Beth is truly an exceptional speech-language pathologist and the best therapist we have ever worked with. She has an incredible ability to connect not only with children but also with their families, making parents feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the therapy journey. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind, and genuinely compassionate. What sets Beth apart is her holistic approach — she sees the whole child. She collaborates with families and other professionals when needed, provides valuable resources, and creates fun, play-based therapy sessions that keep children engaged while helping them make meaningful progress. Under Beth's guidance, our son has made tremendous strides, and we couldn't be more grateful for her dedication and expertise. She has had a lasting impact on our family, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding speech-language pathologist.

Beth is one of those rare clinicians who is just as skilled with people as she is with the clinical side of speech therapy. She handles even the most complex cases and challenging situations with confidence and care, and her genuine passion for helping children comes through in everything she does! She does a wonderful job of supporting parents, as she has a natural ability to make families feel supported rather than overwhelmed. I highly recommend working with Beth!
