El Rio Health - Southeast Health Center

Went for stomach bug and several other symptoms pointing to a possible infection but ended up blaming it on my diet and said to lay off hot foods and sugary drinks which i dont even eat much of they just assumed. They tested me for strep and mono which even i know my symptoms couldnt be related to that. Later I went to the hospital and sure enough i had an infection and was suffering with severe dehydration.

At this El Rio Southeast clinic I sauntered over to the blood labs check-in counter. To my dismay there was a complete lack of any indication as to where patients should sign in or where to form a line. Clearly this information was too trivial for the inept individuals behind the counter who were too engrossed in their mesmerizing computer screens to offer any assistance.Suddenly another man approached the counter after Id been waiting for a couple minutes to be called. Lo and behold the ladies behind the counter oblivious to my existence kindly offered to aid him and patiently guided him through the process. Utterly flabbergasted I couldnt help but wonder if I had turned invisible or become some sort of insignificant specter.It is abundantly clear that this particular clinic despite its obvious lack of cataract treatment has managed to hire not one not two but three ladies who would greatly benefit from such services. Its a pity they cant see past their computer screens to properly attend to all patients in need.

I have been recommending everyone to this El Rio. The best medical facility in town. I have been with others like Banner but El Rio is different. Medical staff are friendly professional and they remember me and my family each time we come.I first came to El Rio for the midwifery services. They are beying amazing. Pregnancy is not an illness but I always felt like I was treated like I was nothing but a patient when I went to other places. Midwives at El Rio treated me like a friend who really cared about me and the baby. They are so gentle patient I never felt rushed and I felt like I could ask them anything and felt comfortable enough to show them any concerns I had. I wish I would have come to them sooner I switched to El Rio in 2nd trimester as recommended by others. Sandra was my main Midwife and I love her Our kids are seeing the pediatrician Herr at El Rio. Shes so great that we decided to switch the whole family to her now.I dont usually bother to leave a review unless its extremely badgood. El Rio is definitely great enough for me to want to share my experience with others.

The care in healthcare is non-existent with this facility. 45 mins before my sons appointment we receive a call that Dr. Emel is out sick. We are 10 mins out from the parking lot. We were advised he can do a phone appointment. The nurse calls with pre- questions around 850AM then indicates she will send a link for the virtual 9am.The link never shows up on my phone. At 920 AM the Medical Assistant Carmen calls and says the doctor has recorded this appointment as a No Show because my son never got on the call. WE NEVER GOT A LINKYou Dr. Emel was the no show. If we answered each time why wouldnt we activate the link for the appointment. The excuse is well the nurse shows the link was sent The initial incompetence of this office is scary. My son is on so many meds he can barely stay awake and function. The earliest in-person appt is the following Friday.He has to wait an entire week Is there any oversight on how this place operatesAre grievances addressed

I have found this location very helpful and kind. I am here for behavioral health psychological. I have also gotten general labwork done blood-test and stuff and appreciate the speed and verbosity and detailed reportselriomychart feedback I have never had to wait long here I also want to thank the pharmacy there even when I had a srepthroat awhile ago I had to go back and fourth from my usual pharmacies trying to get antibiotics that were covered I have had none of those issues here for somebody with somewhat limited transportation this is a huge plus. The elriomychart app is amazing as well. Thanks everyone.

Lizette the front desk staff was the biggest help She took care of mine and my moms health needs efficiently. My mom had been making numerous of phone calls and got no where. El Rio is lucky to have Lizette

Went to get my blood drawn here and the older woman was rude since the minute I walked up with a smile. She kept giving me rude looks and went on to tell me I should have told her I had more blood work to do you know because I know how to do their job and had to stick me in the arm again. I tried to reach a supervisor and was not given a call back. Go anywhere else then here.

If you want to have an appointment and wait for hours after your appointment time this is the place.Went here for my first pregnancyDuring Covid.I also payed for this early gender and genetic test that the dr said was going to be 250. I got a bill for 10000. If you want a heart attack during pregnancy this is how you get it lolHad to call and go back and forth with the insurance and the third party. Real nightmare. Ended up paying 500. So it wasnt the worst but it wasnt what I agreed on. A lot of people would of just done the payment plan with out knowing they were being crazySeemed like they dont want pregnant woman to be healthy. Dr pretty much told me not to move anymore and I was like 3 months pregnant. perfectly healthy no disorders sicknesses or anythingI told her I love going to the gym and she advised me to not go even though she didnt even know what I did while I was there low weight workouts perfectly safe especially since Ive gone to the gym for the past 10 years. Also to go to fast food places instead of grocery shopping Very odd coming from a dr. Very very pushy with the flu shot Ive literally never gotten the flu. There for I dont want it but I ended up agreeing to it. Felt silly for getting it because Im practically never sick.

Dr. Ashley Price does not get to the bottom of the issue. She instead prescribes medication to help you feel better and assumes thatll do the job. Some people need X-rays and need to be seen by specialists. I should not be taking over 4 prescription medications when I am under the age of 30 and perfectly healthy. Instead of telling me to change my diet and to stay away from certain foods OR referring me to a dietitian or gastroenterologist she gives me all kinds of medications that she is aware are not helping me. I also know that she is doing this to other patients.

Been great to me so far Ladies at the front receptioncheck in desk are super kind helpful and understanding Especially lady on the far right computer closest to the entrance door Doctor RODRIGUEZ is really goodhelpful. Nurses are sweet and good at making the patients laugh and smile. THANKS TEAM
