About Edelson and Associates - Louisville

Edelson & Associates was founded in 1980 by Richard I Edelson, Ph.D., with a goal of providing comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological evaluations and compassionate therapeutic services. Dr. Edelson, who had completed his training in neuropsychology under Muriel Lezak, Ph.D. at the VA Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, sought to integrate psychology and neuropsychology into medical settings within the Louisville area and by so doing to assist in improving patient outcomes. After becoming a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology in 1991, Dr. Edelson actively began training clinicians and graduate students in neuropsychology, pulling students from the University of Louisville and Spalding University and attracting employees from across the United States. The initial clinical focus was on serving adult and geriatric patients, but demand for child/adolescent services lead to the addition of pediatric-centered clinicians a few years after the practice was established. Currently, patients range in age from less than two years old to well over 100 years old.

Beaming Review

Went to book an ADHD eval at 1:30 on Feb 16th. When booking I asked what eval methods they use and was not given a straight answer. I asked specifically because the last place I got an eval charged $750 just to scam me, so I learned to ask about the eval methods to make sure they were legit. Things like if they use the Conners or the Vanderbilt scale. Basically asking what their testing method is to make sure that my proscribing doctor would accept their test. I was told they were ending the call, and they wouldn't answer the question. I recently pain Louisville ADHD $750 dollars for a bunk test that was only good at their office, when I tried to make sure that this office was not the same way by asking what test they used they hung up. The Fact that they want to charge $1250 but won't say what method they are using to screen, that it is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
