The doctor was very dismissive judgemental of sorts. She was rude to his dad and I. She spent 4 hours with my son. All while his school and myself see him EVERY SINGLE DAY. She wants my son on meds instead of special classes to help him. He has sensory and sound problems. She told me he could understand everything being told to him. We know that part. He only had issues expressing his feelings. Im getting a second opinion. DONT TAKE YOUR KID HERE IF YOURE WANTING REAL RESULTS.

Easterseals Crossroads is a non-profit organization that strives to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. They offer a variety of services including childrens speech occupational physical and behavioral therapy early intervention driver training for individuals with disabilities and assessments for older adults that may no longer be appropriate for driving veterans services deaf community services vocational rehab transition services for individuals transitioning from high school to employment and adult day services. My favorite program they offer is the respite services. This includes summer camps and Friday evening programs like Parents Night Out Teen Night Out and CHEER. Parents Night Out is a Lilly grant-funded program that allows parents to bring their children with disabilities and typically developing siblings on Friday evenings once a month for games and activities while the caregivers have a restful night out for free The staff are specifically trained to work with children with significant needs to create a safe engaging space. Teen Night Out and CHEER are similar programs but specifically for the individuals with disabilities to foster social interaction with peers for teens and adults. CHEER the adult respite program often participates in community outings and special events like going to hockey games comedy shows and hosting a promThe main location Kingsway Drive recently underwent renovations to the main lobby which significantly updated the buildings feel from the dinosaur ages to the current time. Employees are truly passionate about helping others throughout the entire lifespan.
