About Easter Seals of West Georgia

Easterseals West Georgia Inc., a United Way Community Partner, provides both Adult Day Services and Children's Services, Family Support Services, and Employment Services. We provide each adult with an opportunity to spend their days involved in activities with other adults practicing daily living skills and learning new skills which will allow them to function as independently as possible. The therapeutic program for children follows a curriculum based on learning through play and child directed creative experiences. On a daily basis, children are encouraged to express their needs and wants through verbalization and/or signing. Development of adaptive/life skills is also of great importance.

My son is a micropreemie does PT here. His physical therapist Kaitlyn is soooo good with him We come twice a week his motor delays are beginning to improve. Theres always plenty of parking the facility is always neat clean. The front desk staff is also friendly. I would definitely recommend Easterseals.

Didnt give my autistic child a chance at all. Called within 4 hours of the day to tell us they were kicking him out. As a special needs parent this was very disheartening and a waste of time trying to get paper work insurance etc together for him to be able to go all for nothing and a very ridiculous excuse as to why they couldnt help him. Im sure other factors were involved that I wont even bother posting on here. As a nurse myself Im very disappointed.

Great place. The staff is just wonderful. Very professional. Our childs therapist Sara is the best. She is friendly and very helpful in the development of our child. She has offered us advice that is second to none.

If I could give a zero I would My kids have special needs and Autism . Everyday the Director would write my kids up for running and other little stuff. Then today she told me that we would have to have a final meeting about their behavior. So they are going to be kicking them out of the program because of this. I am a working mom and I thought I was sending them to a place were my kids would be getting help but thats not the case here Now Im going to be out of a job

Personnel clearly nurture and respect all the children here and the children are well cared for and loved. There was a certain advisor who wasnt as pure hearted as the rest but overall this place is very inspiring after visitation.

I absolutely love this place and cant say enough about them. My 2 y.o. daughter has special needs due to a genetic disorder and they make her feel like she can do anything. In the 10 months since we have been going there they have gotten her to sit prone crawl stand with support eat using a spoon and say about 10 word approximations. She is happy to go there and she seems to love the providers. Having HPRC in-house is an extra benefit because I dont have to take off work to get her to her 4 therapy appointments every week. Plus the therapists work with the daycare providers so they know how to help my daughter outside of her therapies. She does occasionally get bumps and bruises but what kiddo doesnt. They always give me detailed reports when she does get hurt and if I ask extra questions about an incident they do an inquiry watch the videos from their many cameras and answer all my questions. I feel like she is safe when I leave her at Easter Seals which hard to say as a parent of a Special Needs child.I regret that we have to move next summer because this place will be missed

The supervisor of the childrens program is unprofessional. We called at least 5 times probably more leaving messages and never heard back until we filed a complaint to the home office. Once we did go there expecting to register our son she was not there and we were seen by her assistant who informed us we needed another appointment to register our son. The assistant then said she would call to schedule an appointment that was a month ago still no call. I will not be sending my son here not that I even have a choice because no one has tried to help no matter how many times we called.

Its nice to do therapy at one location. My son has came a long way working with the therapist The staff is great and helpful. If you have a child with special needs I would recommend getting your child involved the earlier the better. No child needs to be left behind They also have day care and when doing therapy 4 times a week Easter seals helps by working around the clock. Im very greatful and I know that I made the rite decision in giving my son the opportunity to learn and grow. Im very thankful to all the staff and volunteers

Weve been at Easter Seals for 5 years. My son loves it there. They have onsite therapy services. It helps not having to drive him all around town for therapy.

I absolutely love the therapy we receive here. My daughter was in physical therapy with Mrs. Peggy because she had torticallas. She only went for a few months and she was discharged. My son has been receiving speech with Mrs. Sheri shes a wonderful person inside and out who genuinely cares for her patients. In todays society its hard to find people who care for their patients. At Easter seals you never have to worry about that. They all love the kiddos adults they work with
