About Dr. Orrin Devinsky

Dr. Devinsky is an internationally recognized neurologist, lecturer and author. He is a Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine and is also Director of the NYU/Mount Sinai Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Dr. Devinsky received his medical degree form Harvard Medical School and is board certified in neurology and neurophysiology. His major research interest is epilepsy and he is a preeminent leader in furthering research into the surgical treatment of epilepsy as well as developing new antiepileptic drugs. Dr. Devinsky has authored over 15 professional books including the definitive lay person’s book about epilepsy, “A Guide to Understanding & Living With Epilepsy.”
