Dr. Michele D. Kleiman, MD

Dr. Kleiman is a published author and accomplished assistant professor specializing in pediatric neurology. She has worked with other health professionals, as well as patients’ family members, to help increase the quality of life for thousands of children. Dr. Kleiman’s interest in pediatric neurology began at a young age. Her younger brother Danny was diagnosed as being on the Autism spectrum. From that moment on, she wanted to become a doctor, working closely with children on the spectrum and with various other neurologic conditions. Michele graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in psychobiology in 1981. In 1986, she graduated from Temple University School of Medicine with her doctorate of medicine. She completed her pediatric training from 1986 to 1988 at Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York, and from there completed her neurology training from 1988 to 1991 at the Floating Hospital for Children in Boston. Before going into private practice, Michele was a member of the UCONN pediatric neurology team and spent many years at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. She is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Competence in Child Neurology.
