Introduction
Hi there! I'm Dr. Khalyn Solomon, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and owner of The Speech Exchange and Language Therapy, Inc. I work with children ages 2–18, helping them build strong communication skills through a play-based, strengths-focused approach. My specialties include early intervention, language, fluency, articulation, Autism, and intellectual disabilities.
I’m passionate about empowering families and making therapy fun, practical, and accessible. Whether helping little ones say their first words or supporting older children, I strive to create a positive, engaging environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
Dedicated
Empathetic
Fun
Dedicated: I consistently show up with purpose and passion. I’m committed to making a meaningful impact by staying committed, working hard, and fully supporting each child and their families.
Empathetic: I take the time to understand each child’s and family’s perspective, meeting them with patience, respect, and compassion. By listening closely and tuning into their emotions, I create a trusting space where they feel supported, understood, and never alone in their communication journey.
Fun: I bring warmth, energy, and enthusiasm into every therapy session. When play is truly enjoyable for children, they’re more likely to engage; making it easier to build connections and work toward their communication goals in a natural, meaningful way.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I am best positioned to support children with autism, children with receptive/expressive language disorders, and children with speech sound disorders by combining evidence-based strategies with a compassionate, individualized approach that meets each child where they are and helps them thrive in their own unique way.
Voice therapy is not my primary area of expertise, so individuals seeking specialized vocal care may benefit from a therapist with advanced training in that field, and I’m happy to help connect them with the right resources.
