Dr. Jason Gold, Ph.D.

Jason Gold is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. With a focus on adolescents and their families, Dr. Gold works with adults, couples, and younger children as well. With over 20 years of experience in private practice initially in Manhattan and now in Westchester, Dr. Gold provides consultation, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and clinical supervision. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Gold is the Consulting Psychologist at Riverdale Country School. He works with students, parents, and faculty on emotional and behavioral well being. Dr. Gold also serves as a consultant to the Learning Research Team supporting students with learning differences. With a wide network of related professionals including, child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists, substance abuse, trauma and eating disorder specialists, as well as learning specialists, Dr. Gold offers comprehensive services depending on the individual needs of patients and their families. As a clinical supervisor, Dr. Gold has supervised students in the Doctoral Programs in Clinical Psychology at CUNY, and The New School for Social Research, externs and interns in clinical psychology at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, and psychiatry residents at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Gold is a graduate of The New York Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Gold is a member of the American Psychological Association, Division 39 of the APA, and The Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WCSPP). His clinical work is informed by his appreciation of the depth and complexity of psychoanalytic thinking. Dr. Gold utilizes an individualized and comprehensive approach in his work and is trained in modalities including: cognitive behavioral (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and short-term psychodynamic therapies.
