Dr. Debra Harper

Dr. Debra Harper has 17 years of teaching and central administration experience in special education. While her professional expertise and dedication involves partnering with parents in consultations and serving as advocate to provide the best possible educational services and quality of life for students served by special education, she also utilizes the same knowledge and proficiency to ensure meeting the special needs of her twelve-year-old daughter who has Autism and ADHD. Dr. Harper has extensive experience in special education from professional and personal perspectives, so she is well-versed in educational dilemmas from the viewpoints of both the parents and educators. Her compassion for students and their parents’ concerns, come together with her experience-based insights regarding the district/school initiatives, protocols, and factors influencing individual special education service decisions. She is dedicated to student success, and invests herself in valuable partnerships with parents for optimum student success.
