I’m Domenique, a pediatric occupational therapist based in Fremont, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you. With a passion for working with families and children with special needs , I specialize in helping clients achieve their goals by providing tailored solutions and dedicated support every step of the way. My approach is built on empowering families and I work closely with each child to ensure their unique needs are met and they can thrive. I have a history of working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities and use American Sign Language in my sessions. I also teach future occupational therapists at Samuel Merritt University and am inspired by my students to stay current on new and innovative approaches in OT.

Who are you best positioned to serve?
Children with Developmental Disabilities:
My work with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including my role at Children’s Health Council and experience with various interdisciplinary teams, positions me well to support children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental delays. I have expertise in developing individualized treatment plans, conducting evaluations, and delivering therapy in home, clinic, and school settings.
Early Childhood Intervention:
I have worked with children ages birth to 6 years old, especially through services like Kidscope and early intervention programs, and am well-positioned to support children with developmental delays or disabilities in the early years. I have additional training in SOS Feeding, NDT, and specialized experience in supporting students at the CA School for the Deaf
Children with Sensory Processing Issues:
My background in neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), as well as my work with children at the California School for the Deaf, speaks to my expertise in sensory integration and supporting children with sensory processing disorders. I am equipped to provide evaluations and interventions for children who struggle with sensory regulation in both academic and home environments.
Families Needing Parent Education and Support:
Throughout my career, I've provided in-services and parent education talks. This experience is a great asset for families looking for guidance on supporting their child’s development at home. My ability to work directly with families to educate and empower them is crucial for parents seeking to understand and navigate their child's needs.
