A team of clinicians will see you and your child at the diagnostic evaluation. The evaluation process includes: A detailed developmental history from parents or caregivers; Gathering information about your family, your family history of medical and developmental disorders, and your child's social environment; Evaluation; Developmental or cognitive assessments of your child’s thinking, learning and problem solving skills; Assessment of your child’s language abilities; Evaluation of your child’s social development through observations, interactions and play. A parent feedback session is held after your child’s diagnostic evaluation. Our team discusses with you our diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. The team assists you in finding community-based treatment services as appropriate to your child’s and family’s needs.
