Being disabled it was very disturbing and assaulting to myneeds with witnesses . except for attorney Francesca Brodich excuse my spelling. They seem burnt out and I wouldnt want them representing a rock . It is very disturbing to be treated like a passenger on a ship of fools.. I expected to be treated with respect and ADA compliant..my bad .

For an agency that claims to help those with disabilities they are very ableist in their approach. Just look at other reviews. I recently got in touch about my rights being violated and the response I got was basically not us go somewhere else when it was clear they didnt read my request. When people get in contact with you it is because they are looking for advocacy not to be told that you cant help. If you cant help with most issues that people come to you with then i suggest you re-evaluate the necessity for your agency to exist and whether or not another agency or leadership would be better suited for the work. You must create an environment where your staff is enabled and expected to help people vs one where your staff have a bias towards saying no. It is clear that they operate from a no framework when they are rejecting requests for assistance that fall within your purview.

In my life time I have reached out to Disability Rights Center NH about three times. Each time I contact them they refuse to help me out with whatever issue that I have faced regarding my disability. I am on the autism spectrum and I was recently retaliated against by a public place that would normally have the tools to understand my issues for trying to explain the facility on how my disability works and that there was a more proactive way to handle the matter then taking they action that they took against me. I was vert traumatized by this incident. It made me feel like I couldnt advocate for myself and talk about my disability without getting retaliated against. When I contacted the first time regarding the matter their idea instead of helping me directly was to email me resources that supposedly helps out with my circumstances. The resources they sent me did absolutely nothing to help me out. I wasted a period of three months to reach out to these resources just to find out that they dont help with my circumstances. My therapist who understood how the matter affected me and how the matter could set the tone for me to be retaliated again in the future for advocating for myself tried to find the resources to help me with my circumstances. Unfortunately other then DRC NH New Hampshire has literally no resources to help me whatsoever. My therapist contacted DRC NH to let them know about the lack of resources to help me and that I absolutely needed their services. DRC NH never called my therapist back.90 days later I filed a grievance complaint with DRC NH after the third time my therapist could not get a hold of them. I spoke with their managing attorney she stated that because I didnt live near the area that they didnt think it was prudent to help me out with the matter. She even suggested going as far as forgetting about the issue that I faced. I was shocked by that. It doesnt matter how far I lived from where the incident took place what I had to face from this facility could happen to another individual like myself with autism. It is clear as day that the facility does not have the tools or the awareness like they should to communicate with those on the autism spectrum. I was begging that they would take instead of a reactive approach but a proactive approach to work with the facility on a better way on how to communicate with people on the autism spectrum. What I went through couldve been avoided had the facility was more aware of my disability and showed more empathy towards my challenges by taking a more productive approach to the matter to avoid what took place from happening to myself or anyone with my disability ever again.Because of DRC NH refusing to help me with the matter I now fear that in the future that I will again be retaliated for advocating for myself regarding my disability. I also now feel like that I cant go to anyone for help whenever I have an issue regarding my disability. What I went through should not have happened during the 21st century. People with autism both children and adults are being retaliated against on a daily basis for similar issues like this. DRC NH does not seem very informed about the legal and social climate towards childrenadults with autism. The managing attorney as of 2023 has since been at her position since at DRC NH since 1991. DRC NH needs to be lead by a younger generation of lawyersadvocates who are currently more compassionate empathetic and aware of the legalsocial climate of those on the autism spectrum and other disabilities as well. DRC NH is allowing people on the autism spectrum to be retaliated against in the future for trying to explain how their disability works. I find that to be absolutely scary and outrageous. I would not recommend DRC NH to anyone under its current leadership. They do not care about the advocacy rights of those with disabilities. Everything DRC NH say they support is purely propaganda.

Communicating with them was a dead end as far as I am concerned. I was directed to them by NH Senator Sheehans office probably in an attempt to kick that beat-up can down the road and it proved to be a waste of time. Despite the fact that I provided a well-documented case of widespread ADA non-compliance--with dozens of photos--they were unable more likely unwilling to offer assistance. I literally provided a strategy for addressing problems that Ive encountered but the response was--wait for it--Oh we cant do that we have no time. After YEARS of combatting anti-elder anti-disabled discrimination by governmental agencies from the local to the national level this group takes the cake.In conclusion I feel that the ADA is a toothless law that is typical of non-compliance by the federal government itself.

Had an attorney though DRC from 2015-2017. High turnover and spotty supportcommitment. They cannot commit to complex legal matters that require follow-up and shepherding. Understaffed as well. Support is hit or miss for complex long term needs you are out of luck. The attorney I started with was a rock star. The subsequent attorneys were basically brought on board just to pinch off the case when I needed them most. Because of the issues of the latter attorney I lost support for college from NHDVR. Since DRC did not stick with the case until IPE was completed VR essentially waited my attorney out and chopped my VR support. What DRC did was waste my effort and their own attorneys effort by not standing by me. The result of this is that I am permanently stuck with nothing.

Dealt with them three years ago.Ive been in a nursing homerehab for four years now and contacted them to see if they would help me go back home which is my parents home in-law apartment. My mother said Id go home eventually but when my medical issues were healed she had me illegally moved against my will without my consent to the full time care part of the facility. I have full power of attorney and I am my own person. The attorney was more interested in my financial situation than trying to help me find a legal way to get back in my apartment. I then started to cry and she hung up on me.I guarantee the lawyers in this group are all ambulance chasers.

I am not happy with the lack of assistance they provided me. I am dealing with a legal issues as stated below in which I submitted to them through their online application. I receive a call from them in response and was told the managing attorney said that this is not something they can help with and she provide C me with numbers to lawyer referral services.Lawyer referrals will cost a great deal and I am living off my meager disability benefits. Doesnt seem fair to me.Application wordingI have a legal civil problem. My father passed away 3 months ago and left a trust to his estate in which I am 50 beneficiary. My elder brother is the other 50 beneficiary and also the Trustee to the state. My brothers has been a bully to me my whole life and is no doubt the major reason I am on SSDI diagnoses with PTSD GAD and Panic Disorder. From the beginning of his Trusteeship he has been threatening to me and not providing me with information in which he is fiducially responsible too. He has appointed an attorney who that he secured through his place of employment. This attorney backs his uncooperativeness at every turn. I dont know where to turn because I live at poverty level and dont have much of any means to secure an attorney that can represent my interests. This whole thing is seriously aggravating my disabilities. Please offer some help if you please.I have been a New Hampshire resident for coming up on 3 years now.Kind regards

The office manager might have been the most horrible person I have spoken to in a long time. Some how calling to ask for help fora child makes you suspect All she had to do was nicely explain the process instead she was angry and told me she couldnt talk to me bc I wasnt the guardian and wouldnt even tell me the process in a normal tone of voice...
