About Disability Action Center (DAC) – Redding Office

Disability Action Center is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1980 to meet specific needs of people with disabilities living in Northern California. Our dedicated staff provides free support to help community members with disabilities achieve and/or maintain their optimal level of self-reliance and independence. We can provide support services such as information, housing assistance, and provider referrals. Our goal is to work with each individual client to eliminate barriers (physical, emotional, societal, etc.) to increase opportunities for participation in the community.

So few people know about Disability Action Center and the great work they do helping people with disabilities navigate complex systems to get services. Theyre knowledgeable dedicated and provide a vital service to people with physical intellectual disabilities and people with mental illnesses. They help people help themselves.

I am so grateful to have found this place I have the best advocate I could have ever hoped for with my disabilities They are excellent in helping so many people with PGE PSPS events for medical baseline. Excellent resources in our county others. I highly recommend this business for people with disabilities as well as family of people with disabilities. TBI groups education and so much more.

They offer a wide range of services that most people are not aware of. They were nice enough to have a listing of available apartments in the area. The two people working there that day were telling me about other options besides HUD. I was also provided with a list of emergency services in the area.

Im a caretaker who stumbled upon this website a few weeks ago. The Disability Action Center in Redding provided much needed grab bars for my client a badly needed shower chair for my friend. We are very thankful Both were also called shortly after to make sure that all was well. You are amazing people Thank you

I learn about them during pge power outages they do many good things to assist those with disabilities in our community they really are very kind and helpful what a wonderful resource you made a big difference in my familys life as I myself am disabled and my daughter is raising a son with a very rare genetic disorder called KBG syndrome thank again
