Introduction

My name is Dinah Marrujo, and I’m a bilingual pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist serving children and families in Southern San Diego County. I work with infants and toddlers through school-age children, with a special focus on early communication and development. My approach is child-led, play-based, and strengths-focused, with expertise in early intervention, bilingual speech and language development, AAC, and supporting children with developmental differences. I’m passionate about empowering families and making communication therapy meaningful, engaging, and fun.

What words would you use to describe yourself?

Compassionate
Bilingual
Collaborative
I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where children and families feel seen, respected, and supported. I approach each child with empathy, taking the time to understand their individual strengths, needs, interests, and communication style. I also believe that meaningful progress happens through collaboration, which is why I value partnering closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals. Together, we can build practical strategies that fit naturally into a child’s everyday life and empower families to feel confident supporting their child’s communication development.

Who are you best positioned to serve?

I am best positioned to serve infants, toddlers, and school-age children who benefit from a play-based, child-led, and family-centered approach to communication. I have a particular passion for supporting children with early communication and language delays, bilingual Spanish-English development, developmental differences, AAC, and emerging communication skills. My 12 years of experience working in educational settings as an educator, in addition to my experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, give me a strong understanding of both the developmental and educational needs of children. I especially enjoy partnering with families and educators to support meaningful communication across everyday environments.

    Beaming Review

Dinah is wonderfully efficient at servicing families and she never hesitated to take on extra responsibilities; always staying organized and composed even when the workload was heavy. She had a real gift for collecting and analyzing data to make thoughtful, family-centered decisions. Above all, she is a genuine advocate for her families. I would absolutely refer patients and family members to her!
