After completing the initial online form you will receive an email of requirementspre-appointment questions that arent clearly presented and a broken link. The scheduling coordinator responds fairly quickly but can only be reached through email.The tone of the emails are odd as mentioned in other reviews. I was trying to clarify something regarding my insurance even called my insurance to verify coverage and for some reason the coordinator seemed defensiveannoyed. This resulted in an email response supposedly from Dr. Rios contained punctuationgrammatical errors who suggested two other Autism centers.I was already considering paying out of pocket and filing the medical claims myself as the office suggested. I was only trying to clarify a potential billing issue and do my due diligence before proceeding with the scheduling but they escalated the situation in such an odd and seemingly unprofessional way that I no longer feel welcomed to the practice.This might be why strict email correspondences can be an issue where a phone call would have sufficed.

After several horrible experiences with a local psychologist we decided to travel 3 hours away to Dr Rios. Our pediatrician told us he was the best in the state and that she thought his wait list would be long. To our surprise not only were we able to do everything from the comfort our our home he was able to get us in AND get our official diagnosis to us within a month whereas the other psychologist would have us wait 6 months. Dr Rios and his entire office were so professional during our entire process. We had emails calls and texts answered within hours. All of our questions were answered and the process was so smooth and easy. We cannot thank him enough for helping us get our little girl on the way to getting the help she needs. Thank you Dr Rios and team. 1010 would recommend everytime.

We were so fortunate to find Dr Rios and his team to evaluate our son. They were superb throughout the entire process. Our son ultimately was diagnosed with something that Dr Rios is not able to treat himself but the knowledge and insight we gained into our sons condition was very valuable. The time from initial intake to final diagnosis was less than one month instead of a lengthy drawn out process. We highly recommend Dr Rios. If you have concerns about your childs development call them today.

I recently had my child evaluated for autism with Dr. Rios. I had a very good experience. I received a response via email as soon as I made an inquiry via their website.I went with Dr. Rios because some doctorsfacilities require that a child sit through a 3-4 hour evaluation. Dr. Rios performs 3 sessions for evaluation and a fourth to review his diagnosis and discussanswer questions. My childs presence was only required for two of the 3 sessions. I didnt want to put my autistic child through a gauntlet of tests in one day as that would have been difficult for him.I am very satisfied with Dr. Rios and his office staff. However I would have appreciated the office reaching out to me first when services had resumed. Our third session was postponed due to the pandemic and the county requiring non essential offices to shut down in April. In May I reached out to his office to see when the evaluation could be completed. Again I received a quick response in the same day. Dr. Rios has been using teleconference to perform parts of the evaluation and found a work around for the other portion of the evaluation involving our child which I found easy to do at home per his instructions.I would recommend any parent who has been having trouble getting a diagnosis while trying to stay safe and practice social distancing to contact his office. I had trouble with other places like Cook Childrens Child Study Center. They have a long wait list and wont give you a timeframe for when they will see you. After initiating contact with Dr. Rios office we were seen within a month. If not for this pandemic we would have had an evaluation by early April.

Dr. Rios and staff are hard to find and Im grateful that we received answers from them about our son. Dr. Rios was straight forward with me and did not hold back being open about his own testimony. I appreciate when someone can be honest and open but straight forward yet respectful and supportive when discussing such a sensitive life changing diagnosis. We felt confident that we could rule out autism because of Dr. Rios but he also helped us break down other areas that we should address for our sons mental health and growth.We trust his opinions and I would recommend him if you suspect autism They are thorough and their scheduling process goes smoothly if you simply just do what they tell you online. Its worth it

The front office staff is very nice and they booked our appointments right away which made a huge difference for us to get our son into therapy right away. Also Dr. Rios was so helpful and patiently answered all our questions We had long talks about autism and the care and treatments available what would be best for our family and he gave us some excellent resources and recommendations for services. He calmed our fears and helped us navigate this new world with a gentlemans care for our concerns. We highly recommend him for the thorough testing and knowledge of services out there. He also helped us very quickly with a prescription for OT and Speech therapy which will help us get insurance approval for the extra sessions he needs.

Dr Rios and his team evaluated my 3 year old son this year. We received an autism diagnosis at the end of our evaluation and Dr Rios was very kind and positive while delivering the diagnosis. He was helpful with getting us information on how to start services and took the time to answer all of the questions my husband and I had. We were very pleased with the services we received.

We came here after hearing the good things about Dr. Rios and establishing a diagnosis for autism. We just completed our initial assessments and conclusions appointment and I can only say great things. For our first appointment I was Prepared to have to review my sons information like I typically Have to do at appointments. However I was pleasantly surprised when Dr. Rios had already reviewed the records we sent. He asked questions and let us talk about our son. The follow up appointments were testing and I was Able to see where my son was able to perform the good and the bad. We finished with a discussion of his diagnosis and plans for next steps. The entire time we were there we were treated with such respect and as if we mattered. I never felt hurried or pressured to get done and out of the way. I also Love that IWas not left to have to take a diagnosis and look up what it meant. An autism diagnosis is hard- even when you know it is right. I am Thankful that this process allowed my son to be himself show where we did and did not need to focus and guide us in our future.

Any parent of a child that needs to be seen by a developmental pediatrician experiences fear worry anxiety and stress. The staff at Dr. Rios office are AMAZING We were forewarned by our pediatrician that the office communicates primarily by email and did not experience any problems with contact to and from them. Dr. Rios was able to see our son within 1 week of initiating contact and by the next week my husband and I were able to sit down and review the diagnostic conclusion with Dr. Rios. Each member of the staff were caring compassionate funny and genuinely made an effort to make our 8 year old son feel safe and comfortable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Rios and his staff. 5 stars isnt enough

Dr. Rios and his staff are AMAZING. Our entire experience with him and his whole team was wonderful. Even before we entered the office I felt like we gave a thorough history and what issues we needed addressed with our son. We came to Dr. Rios for a second opinion and we dont regret it for a second. The evaluation process was a multiple appointment process which was perfect for us. We felt like the attention we received was caring and helpful to say the least. We were encouraged and informed. After reading some of the unfavorable comments below I wonder if we are even talking about the same office We couldnt have felt more welcomed and valued. I have already referred Dr. Rios to multiple people and will continue to do so
