Established in 1999 as a result of The Delaware Care Plan Trust Act, Delaware Care Plan is a 501(c)(3) agency. We make it possible for families to provide future support for their loved ones with disabilities and/or special needs without making them ineligible for necessary government benefits. For over 20 years, we have been providing parents, guardians, and families with a necessary support system to ensure the financial well-being and quality of life for their loved ones with disabilities and/or special needs. Due to advances in medical science and care, the lifespan of people with special needs has increased significantly, making it more likely than before that these children will outlive their parents. While these advances are wonderful and beneficial, it also creates a harsh reality that parents must put a plan in place to care for their children should they outlive them. Delaware Care Plan exists to be your partner in planning and to put your mind at ease that if there ever comes a time when you can’t care for your loved one, someone will be there to step in and ensure they continue to live a happy and fulfilling life. Many of our parents and families have agreed that our program provides priceless peace of mind.
