Do NOT take American Red Cross classes here. I signed up for a hybrid learning class advertised as Adult and Pediatric CPRAED. They sent an online portion link for Adult CPRAED only. I called them regarding this issue before the in person class and they said the certificate would have Pediatric listed on it. After completing the class only Adult CPRAED was listed on the certificate. I called them and the lady told me I signed up for the wrong class. I told her I would be disputing the charge and she said you are more than welcome to dispute the charge and repeated that I signed up for the wrong class Never again will I take a course here. Also the in-person component was heavily concentrated on lifeguarding for whatever reason. I get it is a swim school but I signed up for an Adult and Pediatric CPRAED class as a regular civilian Im not an aspiring lifeguard I was also told the online portion would be sent to me a week before the class. Guess what I was sent the online portion less than 3 days before the course.

I had to cancel after how unaccomidating the front office staff was. Also the teacher I chose for my daughter was so slow. My child is swimming on her own and when my husband told her to please let her do swimming on her own the instructor seemed offended Very bizarre. Im the parent I swim with my child as we have a pool and your response was just strange. Not sure why you would be offended. But the clincher is the staff in the front. Oh and 20 min lessons Not worth the money way overpriced. Maybe if I get a response from the owner and change teachers I will consider going back. Take a look elsewhere. Ciao

All three of my girls started swim lessons at Daland at a very young age. Daland Swim School has done an amazing job. The staff and coaches are patient and adapt their lessons for all types of swimmers.

This swim school is a true gem especially for Special Needs students like my young adult son. The instructors are very knowledgeable and kind. There are many young children but also adults and teens. The pool is heated all year and during the winter there are heated clear plastic tents by the pool. All the instructors are gentle and patient. My son especially loves Leslie who is like a swim coach wizard with him. Since he has severe neurological issues it is wonderful to see him respond to all the encouragement and master some movements that are very difficult for him to execute. Our three lessons a week are the highlight of weekly activities for my son. Many service providers who teach those with special needs folks can be rigid in their techniques and pay little attention to the students actual capabilities and needs. I found none of this arrogance at Daland. They listen they truly care and the work with your child based on where his or her needs actually are versus some prefabricated protocol that assumes what the students skill levels must be. I would highly recommend Daland for water safety exercise and swimming skills.

We have been a part of Daland Swim School for 11 years. My boys learned to swim there and then continued onto their swim teams. I credit Daland for my boys becoming strong confident swimmers who found a new love of swimming. The instructors are fun and encouraging and the entire staff is very friendly. Daland is a fantastic family owned business

Bad BLS class In my opinion there are better options out there. I did it with them because they offered a blended course meaning book work at home and hands on at Dalands. When I signed up it took them 3 days to provide me online access to American Red Cross to do the book work part of the class. Then I get an email that has me sign up to their system called wyzed which is their online system. I was confused On the day of the hands on I show up and state I was there to do a BLS class. The front desk lady just said ok and didnt say anything else. So I asked where should I wait. Sabrina 10 minutes later came to get me takes me to an area where there at least 19 more people doing a life guard class. Waiting 20 more minutes still havent started my hands on training which I am there for. Finally they say ok everyone go to the back we are going to do hands on. Huh They blended 27 people to do hands on with at least two different courses could have been more. They only had 5 adult manikins and 5 baby manikins for 27 people. The American Red Cross states that you need 1 manikin per 3 people During the practical one of the manikins breaks they manage to put it back together and keep going. Furthermore the American Red Cross requires manikins to be wiped off after each participant with a disinfectant wipe. This did not happen. I have taken prior course and needed this bls course. I have another cpr certification through the Red Cross and feel competent with my skills. In my opinion if you had taken this class and it was your first class then I do not think you would have recieve all the hands on skills you need to be competent to do the procedure in a real life scenario. Furthermore they had us do some book work through their wyzed system. Why Who knows because we already did it through the American Red Cross website Some of the people didnt even receive the wyzed email from the school. Overall not a good experience. I cannot speak for their other classes but as far as BLS. PLEASE THINK TWICE

Instructors are great but admin are con artists. To cancel classes you cant withdraw in person or over the phone you have to fill out an online form which surprise surprise they never received. Of course no refunds allowed and no one able to help. Edit now on week 3 of them ignoring my emails which they previously responded to canceled my credit card bc no one would reply re when the billing would stop. Every time I called managers were in meetingsI was on swim team here as a child and brought my own kid back for lessons-- brought a friend as well-- but from now on will be warning others away. Shame to end the relationship with such a petty scam Find yourselves a different swim school that respect their clients. Or if you come here anyway be very careful and aggressive about your billing and account management.

We have been very happy with Daland swim school It was initially the only place we could find that was open during covid and we were a little hesitant because of the cost and drive 30 minutes away for us BUT after our experience we have determined that it is 100 worth it. My 4 year old daughter has a strong will and also some anxiety in the water. As you can imagine that is a hard combo to handle. She was not making progress with her initial instructor and the owner Leslie took the time to deal with some very difficult behaviors from my kiddo and made sure that we knew they put safety and customers first even over their own compensation. My kiddo initially dreaded going but after her experience with Leslie she now looks forward to it and asks us daily if its swim day. She continues to make slow and steady progress. The environment is clean safe and encouraging so we will not be going anywhere else. Thankful for this swim school and their passion and commitment to help little swimmers have a fun safe experience with water

We loved every moment we spent at Daland swim school. Both of my girls started private lessons the day they started walking and were water safe in no time. They teachers create such an exciting experience for kids and teach them to love the water while being safe I would recommend them 100 to anyone with kids. Its so important. Its give me peace of mind knowing my kids are water safe
