Your child’s first visit to the dentist should be enjoyable. Children are not born with a natural fear of the dentist, but they can fear the unknown. Our Children’s dental office in Carlsbad makes a special effort to use pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe each treatment. We want you and your child to feel at ease when your family arrives at our office. Dr. Cyrous Sheikh enjoys working with children and adolescents and has done so for more than 25 years. Dr. Sheikh received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992 and his Master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Minnesota in 1994. He practiced as an associate in different offices in Minnesota before relocating to San Diego. In 2000, he opened his own pediatric dental office in Carlsbad. But it isn’t like a medical career was entirely out of character for Dr. Sheikh. His dad is a retired pediatrician, and the good doctor says his father’s focus on his patients has influenced the way he practices pediatric dentistry in Carlsbad:
