About Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute – St. Croix – Stillwater

Children develop at different rates. At times, some children need extra help to move, think, communicate, learn and even play—sometimes it’s because of a condition or syndrome they are experiencing and other times it’s not. In both cases pediatric rehabilitation services can provide the extra care and help they need to improve their skills in movement, speech, feeding, self care skills or overall quality of life. Services are focused on play because play is a child’s work; it’s how kids explore their environment and develop new skills and grow and it’s fun! Programs are available to kids of all ages, from infants to youth who are in transition to adulthood.

Kaitlin Seltveit was my family members physical therapist. Most disrespectful arrogant and misleading professional if you can even call her that I have ever seen. Refused to work with my family member rolled her eyes in my face when I tried to talk to her wouldnt even look me in the eyes when I talked to her and kicked us out of her office. She is extremely rude acts entitled and treats her patients poorly. Does no research on her patients and their medical histories and in addition provided no follow up or communication after our visit. Do yourself the favor - dont go to her if you actually want to be treated with respect and get the care you deserve.

The front desk people were very mean to me and I felt discriminated and treated me very bad and it hurts my feelings. I have autism and I get treated very friendly at other clinics and I see other patients with disabilities get treated with dignity and respect and I try to be so nice to them and they should do the same to everybody.

The upbeat caring and encouraging spirit no longer exists as it did when it was Courage St.Croix. Kitty Andersen and others who created the financial opportunity for that Stillwater location would be deeply saddened to see what it has become. There is no longer that human touch of caring since Allina got involved. All corporate some staff are absolutely cold and rude short in their conversation and very rigid in how they speak. Waiting well over 20 minutes on hold and finally hanging up after 12 hour on the line. In speaking with others and hearing that they are all frustrated with the direction this business has gone. We are no longer people to this organization we are numbers and sadly dollar signs.

Get there EARLY it seems to take at least 15 minutes to check in even if there isnt a line.Have a card which is inconvenient for PCAs now having to pay with THEIR . Stood there for 12 minutes utes before being checked in for open swim 20 in hand and she waits to tell me after taking an additionL 5 minutes utes pulling up his name even though hes been coming since he was 2...THEN tells me card only. Then they want to waste more of our swim time to fill out paperwork...AGAIN so paid10 to swim 30 minutes. I used to get the pass but expires after 6 months and so that was money wasted. You should get however long need to use the sessions you paid for. It was so much better and more accommodating before Allina took over.

Experience with driving assessment while not the outcome our family member wanted was outstanding. The technician was both compassionate and professional very adaptive to hearing loss and took the time and care to hear questions concerns and let the new reality start to sink in. A tough day was made better by her. Very grateful.

This is the first negative review I have written in my thirty-six years but that is how truly disappointed I am with Courage Kenny. If this had to do with just me I probably would not be writing this but this is for my son who is just about to turn three. We sought help at this facility over two months ago. I have yet to receive any documentation explaining my sons assessment. Not even one letter. I have only received two phone calls during those two months. That is after I or my insurance called first to ask for an update. Even now there is no plan or outcome. They were sure to send a bill for the assessment though. Again that bill is for an assessment that I have yet to see any documentation on. It is truly sad and disheartening that it is so hard to get small children help. Thankfully I have two doctors and my insurance company instructing me to seek help elsewhere and who have gone out of their way to give me new recommendations. I truly hope you have a much better experience if you decide to move forward with Courage Kenny. If not be sure to talk with your doctor.

the General facility is nice. The faculty and classes are great. The major downside is the accessible bathroomshower facilities which you have to use if your young child is the opposite gender. They are nearly always filthy and the fixtures are grimy and often times broken. It does not appear they are cleaned well or often. On more than one occasion there has been fecal matter on the floor and toilet seats. This would be a five star facility if they would repairremodel and more thoroughly clean the accessible facilities.

Great physical therapy rehabilitation clinic. They also offer classes memberships. They have a large 92 degree heated therapeutic swimming pool. It is a place to be who you are without being judged and people are friendly and encouraging. Highly recommend for those with mobility issues those with Raynauds phenomenon arthritis fibromyaglia to continue their physical therapy exercises.

I have back issues and the therapists are so nice. The facility is clean and all are very friendly. Enjoying the relief from pain so much I plan on joining when therapy is over so I can continue to use the pool.
