Counseling Connection - Libertyville

Here to keep my review because Tiffany finally answered my call after I left a voicemail saying I will be getting care from elsewhere and she told me that it was false that they dont pick up the phone. She told me she left two voicemails and called me twice the day I called however my phone record does not reflect this. The aggressiveness on the phone was very professional so heres a review to reflect that gave back two stars because I do like Dr. Tayyab but its too difficult to make appointments and it adds unnecessary stress to my busy life. However I am thankful for the help I got from Dr. Tayyab because it has improved my anxiety a great deal so if you have more flexibility with scheduling and with phone calls I would recommend seeing her.

I have been going to this place for about 6 years give or take. Never had any problems with them since coming to college. I am not one to write a review but my experience with Tiffany has left me absolutely baffled that she is allowed to work with psychiatric patients. I called to refill a medication a few days ago that I need to do daily activities. I called left my name and phone number and no response. I called two days later saying I had 2 pills left and would really appreciate a phone call back. An hour later Tiffany called me tellingyelling at me that she left a message on MY phone but I did not receive one. She told me I couldnt get my medication until I scheduled my appointment which is hard for me because I am away at college. She later then decided to violate HIPAA by calling my mother. Any healthcare professional is trained to NOT violate HIPAA. My mother also had a terrible experience with her asking how she even got a job in healthcare with psychiatric patients in the first place. They are lucky I do not contact the OCR and shut the place down. Not the first time either they have violated HIPAA.

Ive had nothing but TERRIBLE things experiences dealing with the receptionist Tiffany and Candy. They are rude to clients on the phone and Tiffany refused to let me make an appt. She also cancelled my appt and declined my request to speak with my doctor. She told me my only options of making an appt is to wait for another person to cancel and get me in last minute. I let her know due to my work schedule I work during the week so that is not an option for me. She continued to say well your appt is canceled and you have no other options. You guys need to do better and treat these clients better knowing their mental state. Terrible individuals.

I have a special needs daughter that sees Dr Tayyab. My other daughter as well as myself see her too. Shes been very helpful with understanding our stressful life and putting the pieces of our lives together. The years have been rough on us. The first couple years were bad. It took awhile for Dr Tayyab to get the dynamics of our household but once she understood......she got it completly. I cant go anywhere else because Id have to start all over at the begining. Their therapists are awesome too Everyone has helped us one way or another.

The service providers are fine but the office staff is terrible. They are at best indifferent to people on the phone. Like its a bother for them to do their job. Thats just one example. You get the picture. Overall Disappointed and underwhelmed. If it wasnt for the provider I never use this place.

Family member endured 6 days off meds because Dr. Tayyab denied refill and did not reply to Walgreens requests for emergency refill. Once we booked appointment refill went through for one dose because we had to get in by 24 hours. Flu like symptoms and needless suffering for 6 days due to Dr. T and office staff being more concerned with 15 minute visit than patients mental and physical health. Very risky and unprofessional. Patient for almost 1 year.

My primary care physician sent me here to see dr tayyab to get refills for my prescriptions that are already prescribed and she refused to fill them even after the instruction of my PCP to fill them. You guys should consider a new doctor as my medication can cause serious withdrawal symptoms. Someone in her field of work should have the knowledge of that good thing my PCP was able to help me out though Do not come here or at the very least do not choose dr tayyab as your doctorPs. Also stop sending me a bill in the mail for 30 dollars I have my bank statement from when I paid you your debt collector told me to fax it to them however that is not my job youve probably spent 30 dollars on postage envelopes paper and ink by now.

The receptionist Candy never answers the phone. Literally I have never gotten a live person at the practice. In order to accomplish anything it becomes incumbent on you callerpatient to await a call-back. So incredibly frustrating. Candy answer the phone

I used to love Dr Shazia Tayyab but I have since found out that she is all about the money or I guess not about the money. I was a patient of hers for over 3 years and stopped seeing her in 2014. The only reason I left was because of insurance. I lost my insurance at the end of 2017 and have been without medicine for over 9 months and i called to see if she would see me and I would pay on my credit card in full when I see her. Donna at the office who was nice on the phone told me Dr. Tayyab was not taking new patients at the time and I was dumbfounded that she referred me to another clinic in Vernon Hills. I guess my mental illness is not that important to them and my money isnt good to them. Also I am not a new patient i would have been a former patients that had a 3 year relationship with and had always paid my copay. Dr. Tayyab is all about the money. To schedule a 5 minute appointment with her is 110 dollars and the first 15 minute visit is 275 dollars. so just to put that into perspective she vales herself at 1100 to 1300 an hour. Go to another office because Dr. Tayyab and counseling connections do not value your business they just want another target to charge insurance.

Tyab is a very nice and understanding lady. Our only dilemma is that if she prescribes a medicine for you she gives you the correct dose but not the right amount of pills. Or at least in our case she gives us a months short of the right amount.
