Cortica - San Diego Mission Valley

I was initially very mad with Cortica since it was taking forever to set up initial evaluation and service from them. BUT IT TOTALLY WORTH IT. Start as soon as possible. Their service is amazing I only get ABA from them they are very organized with detail plans to get things done. Also they provided developmental pediatrician which is super challenging to find. I love you Cortica you helped me through the moat difficult time of my life.

The clinician we met with was professional but warm and made us feel comfortable from the first moment we met her. Prior to our appointment they were able to schedule other services to expedite my son receiving care. The only complaint is that it took months to get an appointment. The staff at Cortica is wonderful and very communicative responsive and they follow through.

Cortica Care in Scottsdale AZ has the worse service my son has not received services in over a month. School services started without my knowledge and only when services were going to stop was I notified that school services started. They dropped the ball multiple times they have a lot of turnover make promises and appointments they cannot keep. They are truly horrible people to treat those that need them like this.

We made an appointment 3 months ago and were supposed to have our welcome visit today. In the two reminder emails they sent me there was no link to the Zoom call and when we called the company 15 minutes prior to our appointment to get a link we didnt get a call back for half an hour which caused us to miss our appointment. When we were finally called back the representative said it was our fault that they had sent the email and that I had opened it. We again explained that we did receive a reminder email that it did not include a link and she AGAIN said we must have missed it because the email showed opened on their end. When SHE finally opened the email she saw that we did not in fact have a link. After being rescheduled we made sure that we would not be charged the 50 24-hour cancelation fee which had already been added to our balance She said that she would make a note to request that it be discharged since it was their fault that we missed the appointment. I am concerned about going forward with this company if this is the level of care and lack oversight that we receive just to join If they cant even get their ducks in a row before the actual patient care takes place how can I be sure that they will take care of my son when he is being treated This unfortunate event comes on the heels of a really bad experience with a different company so I am losing faith in carers for children with autism in general. Seems it is just a money grab for large healthcare companies.

I love Cortica and the people that work there. They always have my childs safety and interests as a priority. I would recommend them any day of the week.

Only my first appointment but I liked that the Dr. Asked my child about her self more. Just because she has problems doesnt mean shes not a person.

My 8-yr old son started Therapy at Cortica January 2022 my son was evaluated in November 2021 so far our experience has been great- Corica provides upfront costs for therapy etc. with and wo deductable.- Follow- up with scheduling is excellent- Appointments always on-time- High-quality therapy and professional kind therapistsdoctors Cameron our Music Therapist always keeps me in the loop she answers all my questions after therapy and is very patient with my son. She also communicates w my sons OT Natalia which he has an hour before her. Just generally good collaboration. Dr. Troxell was key to our diagnosis and explained it all to my disbelieving husband- After an evaluation Cortica will not always recommended a specific therapy if no need for it. My son was not recommended for PT and instead the therapist provided a list of helpful activities which was great.

Excellent communication brilliant doctors therapists and office staff. Processes are clear and easy to follow. Parents are included as valuable members of the care team. Billing is clear and questions are answered quickly. I cannot say enough about how happy I am to have the opportunity to work with Cortica through my sons epilepsy journey.

If you are a parent to a child with Autism or have a child with Special Needs you know how hard it can be to navigate the journey. Before Cortica my family was dealing with insurance issues to figuring out philosophies and methodologies.I am so thankful for Corticas dedication and support of my son from the bottom of my heart. All the people I have come across at Cortica are an integral part of my sons life and my familys life. From the therapists front desk reception scheduling staff medical staff billing staff ABA staff they all are the village helping my husband and I raise my son so he can reach his full potential and be satisfied in his life. We have been at Cortica for a year now and I think it was the best decision my husband and I made for him. Cortica is an exceptional place as you can see each staff member support you and your familys needs. The comprehensive approach at Cortica fosters growth in the child as it is building the foundation from its core.Thank you for helping my son learn and grow
