The 4 the Spectrum Prep, LLC. Difference

Nikki is highly regarded as an expert in the field of ABA for over 22 years. Nikki discovered her love for working with kids as a teenager when she became a mentor for elementary students, but her first discovery of her passion for children with autism was when her younger cousin was diagnosed with autism nearly 30 years ago.

It has been Nikki’s vision to create a warm, meaningful, reliable and supportive environment for the children and families we serve. With this in mind, she has made it her mission to help each of our families feel like an extended part of our family and that their voice counts. She recognizes when families discover their son or daughter has autism, it is devastating and very overwhelming. When families work with Nikki the amount of love, care, support and high level of transparency is very evident.

What sets us apart is our WHY. Helping children with autism attain a better quality of life through ABA treatment. Our goal is to never lose sight of our purpose which is quality over quantity. We have very low turnover with team members which allows our families to feel confident in our consistent programming, resulting in positive outcomes that are achieved.

When getting to the root of the behavior, “The Learner is Never Wrong.” A failure is not always a mistake...the real mistake is to stop trying.” -B.F. Skinner

Founding Story

In 2007, Nikki Moses saw a void with limited ABA services in the Collin County area. As a result, Nikki founded Consulting 4 the Spectrum to meet the overwhelming needs of families. Consulting 4 the Spectrum was the first ABA service provider to employ therapists and offer full-time in-home treatment services in Collin County and later open the first treatment center in Frisco, Texas in 2009. Nikki has always placed an emphasis on quality over quantity. A significant part of our service structure is our holistic approach to learning. Our services far surpass direct treatment. Preparing students for everyday life, interacting with others and being able to connect with the world around them is the cornerstone of what we do.

Consulting 4 the Spectrum continues to have the same goal: to make a difference in lives, one child at a time and giving parents a Glimmer of Hope. With Nikki's approach our families never feel like a number and our children develop a Love for Learning.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy rooted in the science of learning and behavior. Using principles of ABA, children and adults can learn to improve their communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills while also addressing problematic or challenging behaviors. The primary goal of ABA therapy is to teach helpful skills that promote independence and reduce harmful behaviors. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.

It's a big decision to make for your family! Applied behavior analysis (ABA) seeks to improve communication skills, introduce productive habits, and reduce harmful behaviors. Watch out for ABA providers who look to "cure" autism.

High quality ABA therapy does exist where the goal is not to “fix” children, make them appear “less autistic”, or change who they are. The goal is to help people learn all that they can so they can live to their potential while embracing their unique, individual personality traits. Here's our complete guide to start and end ABA therapy.

ABA is usually covered by insurance if you have an autism diagnosis. Autism is typically the only diagnosis insurance will authorize for ABA services since its benefits have been researched extensively.

Always check with your specific insurance plan to confirm that ABA is covered for your child’s diagnoses and that the provider you are seeking care at is in-network. Here's our complete guide to everything you need to know about ABA therapy.

“Early Intervention” might be the provider’s way of describing services that they provide to babies or young children. However, it might also indicate that the provider is a vendor for your state’s publicly funded program. This means the services with this provider might be covered by your state!

The first step in accessing these free services from your state is to get an evaluation. The evaluation will help the state determine what services your child qualifies for, if any. You can find your state’s local EI program by clicking here.

When you contact your local center, say “I have concerns about my child’s development and I would like to have my child evaluated to find out if they are eligible for early intervention services.” They will ask screening questions and arrange for an evaluation, which is provided for free.
