Connecticut Children’s at Norwalk Hospital’s Pediatric Development & Therapy Center

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lasher whos unfortunately no longer part of the practice. After years of wondering testing and evaluations she finally provided us for a Dx that allowed us to understand what our daughter was suffering from and ultimately led to an IEP for her. Getting an appointment can take a long time possibly because this is the only place of this type in Fairfield County thats in network with many insurances---even longer than expected because of the compulsory nurse screening before EACH appointment. That adds months to the timeline and makes school-related decision-making very difficult. I hope Dr. Lashers replacement will be as talented kind and compassionate as she is. However note that the practice only handle INITIAL appointments and follow-up with the nurse if you need Rx. You wont be able to get your child re-assessed or tested for co-morbidities past your first appointment.

Horrible rude response from the front desk lady answering phone calls on referrals and thier referral system doesnt work so please dont waste your time. I could 0 stars for this place

Im thoroughly dissatisfied with the entirety of our experience with this practice and wish that zero stars could be given. Our pediatrician sent a referral to schedule a developmental assessment for our child of which they took four months to call us to schedule despite multiple attempts to simply have the appointment scheduled out in advance. The evaluation was underwhelming and there was an overemphasis on checking vitals over conducting meaningful diagnostic or developmental tests which lead me to believe that their practice is only concerned about billing the highest cpt codes rather than helping families and their children have evaluations that are relavent to their specialization. When we received the medical notes from that evaluation there was more paraphrasing of a previous assessment from another group as opposed to originalauthentic medical reporting. Then to add to it all instead of sending ANY statements or using the card they have on file for an outstanding balance they sent our balance to collections instead.Our experience was an utter disappointment.
