Colonial Hills United Methodist Church

The landscaping is beautiful except the parking lot hasnt been maintained and the curbs have shifted with the shifting of the earth. Like what makes foundations crack andor oak trees growing roots under the curbs and causing them to raise up in unexpected ways.I was backing into a curb one fine Sunday morning and my Yukon stopped short QUITE HARSHLY AND TOTALLY UNEXPECTEDLY about 3-4 feet from where my tires should have touched the curb stop which had slowly been pushed up several inches over the years due to lack of maintenance on the trees and the parking lot.The pastor is hilarious and fun to watch. He likes to explain the Bible verses. Bring Google translate and a dictionary and it gets even better.Theyre very protective of their flock and can take care of themselves. They have volunteers watching their 64 8.There were two overly zealous dudes in the parking lot yesterday who were trying real hard to do the right thing but they were ignorant of several important facts and werent open to the truth.Thats ok I know one of their mothers and well have a talk. They were trying to do the right thing with bad information but aint cowboys so they were about to irk a real one.Oh well. That was a good time to turn the other cheek. Theyre trainable and that wasnt the right time.The admin lady is wonderful but a little rude when someone new hangs out a little too long or makes themselves at home with the microwave while having an asthma attack.I felt quite welcome until I asked for their insurance information after I got whiplash in the parking lot. They reluctantly let me put MY orange cone in the spot that hadnt been maintained so someone else wouldnt have the same happen to them but then threatened to have the police arrest me if I hung out in the church parking lot during the day to safely text instead of doing it driving down the road.I grew up Catholic. I dont know the hierarchy of this church and they act paranoid when I ask what it isHmmmmm.Oh well. Off to feed the hungry there. I think theyre using food to make the mayor look good. Maybe hell be there handing out food today while Im filling a police report.The mayor might be handing out food today so I need to hurry up and get there. Gus same Pastor Dan told me not to help them organize so it might be a long wait if youre coming for food.

Nice People at the church least 80 of it.You wondering why I have 1 StarMain reason is The Church Pastor Is just too Vulnerable and way too light hearted and soft with little to no context at preaching. Its not enough to learn anything of.

Its a great experience the pastor the people and the place. Sunday morning at 830 or 11am Pastor Diana Phillips always brings a message I need and want to hear.

We went for the childrens fiesta carnival and we had a great time...petting zoo...pony rides..games...dancers...music...great fun
