Introduction
Hi, I’m Colleen O’Neill, a board-certified pediatric occupational therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work with children ages 0–18, with a special focus on ages 3.5–10. My approach begins with nervous system regulation, helping children understand what they need to feel safe, calm, and ready to learn. Through playful, engaging, and individualized therapy, I support children in developing self-regulation, sensory processing, feeding, motor, and social skills. I’m passionate about empowering families, supporting caregivers, and helping children build the foundation to thrive as they grow.
What words would you use to describe yourself?
I bring creativity, fun, and a sense of adventure to my work, creating a safe and engaging space where children feel comfortable exploring, learning, and growing. I’m deeply compassionate about supporting both children and their families, recognizing that caregivers need understanding and encouragement, too. I’m also forward-thinking, always exploring new ideas, sharing knowledge, and finding meaningful ways to help families understand regulation and development. I believe that when we lead with connection, curiosity, and creativity, we create opportunities for lasting growth.
Who are you best positioned to serve?
I’m best positioned to support children ages 0–18, particularly those ages 3.5–10, who need help with self-regulation, sensory processing, feeding, motor development, social skills, and overall development. I especially enjoy partnering with families who value a playful, relationship-based approach that prioritizes nervous system regulation and emotional safety. I also love supporting parents and caregivers as they navigate their child’s unique needs. I may be less well-positioned to serve families seeking a highly structured, compliance-driven approach or support exclusively focused on isolated skills without considering the child’s broader developmental and regulatory needs.
