Inexcusable Negligence and Poor Service at Coastal KidsMy familys long-standing relationship with Coastal Kids which has spanned nearly a decade has been tarnished by an inexcusable oversight and subsequent poor customer service that has left us both disappointed and financially burdened. Despite our loyalty and continuous visits to see Dr. Rhee since my daughters birthshes nearly 10 nowCoastal Kids has shown a blatant disregard for our situation stemming from a change in our insurance that they failed to record.When we visited for a routine appointment unbeknownst to us Coastal Kids had not updated our insurance information despite it being active just under a new policy. This oversight on their part led to an astounding 500 bill wrongfully claiming we had not provided them with our insurance details. Its bewildering how a practice weve trusted for so long who should have a well-documented history of our visits and insurance use could make such a fundamental error.Attempting to address this issue has been a nightmare. The responses Ive received were cold and dismissive offering a discount as if resolving a minor billing discrepancy rather than acknowledging their significant mistake. This isnt a matter of seeking discounts its about expecting a level of service and professionalism that Coastal Kids has failed to deliver.Moreover my efforts to escalate the issue and seek a resolution from their management have been met with silence. Its been over six months with no callback no attempt at a genuine resolution just a clear message that our concerns and our familys wellbeing are not their priority.This situation goes beyond a simple billing error it highlights a systemic failure in Coastal Kids operations and customer service. Their inability to properly manage patient information combined with a lack of accountability and communication is alarming for any healthcare provider especially one that serves children.I am sharing our story as a cautionary tale for other families. The trust and reliability we once believed Coastal Kids possessed have been shattered by their negligence and disregard for the impact their actions have on the families they serve. Its a sad reflection on what was once a trusted healthcare provider for our children.

I got a call at 430PM that my sons appointment the next day 930AM with Dr. Abelowitz got cancelled for his reason. We made this appointments 4 months ago and now theyre asking either we see new doctor with very little experience less than a few yrs or just wait for another 3 months. He doesnt offer an extra hour to see his patients he had to cancel. We took a day off from work for this appointment - its simply our loss of . Its so unprofessional and irresponsible how they handle the patients.

Weve been coming here since my son was born in March 2020. From the first day hospital visits up until now we have been nothing but impressed and grateful for Coastal Kids. Dr. Pertz is our primary pediatrician and is the bomb We absolutely love her. Weve also seen Dr. Baron and Dr. Thompson who are also phenomenal physicians. The office has been very accommodating in fitting us in for sick visits usually within a day. Most recently my son got pretty sick and we were able to get a sick visit that morning with Audrey the NP who was fantastic and took such good care of him. She got him stable and kept us from having to go to the ER. I cannot thank her enough for everything she did. We also had a follow up with Jessica the NP the next day for a recheck and felt very well taken care of. The nurses and providers work really well as a team together and for such a large practice you dont feel like a lost number. Overall great access to care and really high quality providers. Thank you Coastal Kids

Dr Gordon is friendly and helped put my nervous kids at ease. She answered their questions and coached them well on healthy choices.The rooms are clean and colorful.The nurse we met was super sweet and welcoming. Plus she was fast with the shots lessening the anxiety.The waiting rooms are nice and we were not left to wait long.We are grateful to have found a good place for our kids.

I am such a huge fan of this practice especially Dr. Pertz. She has been our pediatrician since my son was born and is so good with him and so nice and patient with us. I trust her so much and am so glad we found her and Coastal Kids. She truly cares about our son and always takes the time to understand and address our questions and concerns.I also appreciate the Operations Manager Angela for helping me resolve and unrelated issue promptly and effectively and with the same care I know is standard at this office.I highly recommend this pediatricians office

I could not be happier with Coastal kids and I am so grateful I chose this practice The Irvine and Newport locations are very close to me- which is a major plus Doctor Abelowitz and Doctor Bui are absolutely fantastic They are warm kind and very knowledgeable. I always feel listened to they always have good ideas and recommendations and I feel as though they walk the perfect line between vigilant medical precautions and care with the realities of day to day parenting. Plus they truly adore working with my baby girl. You can tell they are passionatelove what they do. I also find the practice incredibly well run and easy to deal with - the front desk staff is pleasant and the nurses are great. I have never ever had an issue with them not calling back. I usually get a call from the physician same day when I call about my babys treatment and care. They truly get back to you in a timely fashion I feel like my baby is in good hands at coastal kids and I would recommend this practice to anyone Thank you Doctor Abelowitz and Doctor Bui for taking such great care of my baby girl

Everyone in this office is nothing short of amazing. My child has special needs and they make it a point every time we step foot in the office they begin to put him at ease. Also the after hour nurses are fantastic. I continue to recommend this entire office to all around us. There is nothing more precious then our kiddos and I would only trust them with the very best.

We absolutely love this office Appointments are easy to book weekend hours that include not only Saturday but also Sunday is a plus friendly office staff and knowledgeable doctors. Ive also had to make after hours calls when my babies are running a fever and they either have the on call doctor call you or a nurse from CHOC. Calls are returned promptly and there is always someone to put me to ease with my worries as a first time mom. We love Dr. Rhee

Dr Rhee and her team are always making our visits comfortable for both myself and my girls. Dr Rhee is always very generous with her time and gracious to answer every single question I bring to her.Her demeanor is lovely and most enjoyable to be around. Especially during visits that require more attention.Her staff is quick and efficient with immunizations. They always do their best to bring comfort which goes along way with an infant and toddler.Thank you coastal kids

Love coastal kids and Dr. Brown Shes a wonderful Dr. She has been seeing my daughter since the day she was born in the hospital almost 4 years ago and I have nothing bad to say about her. She is very friendly understanding caring and SMART I love all the advice she has given us. As first time parents it has been very helpful. She always spends time with us at every visit answers all of our questions concerns and we never feel rushed. The rest of the staff is friendlyhelpful also. There is only 1 nurse practitioner that we dont care much for as shes not very friendly or helpful the couple of times weve had to see her. We love the nurse line Very convenient. We drive from another county which is how much we love coastal kids and Dr. Brown The girls at the front have always been friendlyhelpful with scheduling appointments insurance and anything else. As a mom of a child with a heart condition I really like the separate waiting area for sick kids. Overall we love Dr. Brown and will continue to bring our little one to her and any future babies it is so important to us to have a Dr. That we liketrust
